Motel Room, USA, Present:
The five-hundred-year-old vampire and doppelganger felt weak. As she came around she didn't recognise her surroundings and she didn't really want to. Being held captive in a badly decorated and furnished motel room will not and never will be a highlight in her very long life. The chair, she was sitting on had to have been one of the most uncomfortable chairs to ever have been made.
"Took you long enough Kate," Henrik said as he lit a tall and thick white candle on the small breakfast table before sitting on the chair opposite Katherine.
"I prefer Katherine."
"I prefer for you to not wear the same face of someone who I came close to calling my sister," Henrik said, "But we can't get everything we want in life."
"Why not kill us?" Katherine asked.
"I did consider that and it would keep you out of my way. But one can grow tired of killing so instead I am offering you a deal." Henrik responded.
"A deal." Katherine frowned she was suspicious of his intentions and honestly, she doubted Henrik could offer her anything.
"Yes," Henrik replied.
"I'm listening," Katherine said, she didn't bother to make eye contact with her captor. There was nothing the boy could offer that would be worth more than the weapon. She could use against Klaus.
"In return for not continuing your mad plan against the Mikaelson family, I will give you the location of your daughter and ensure that Klaus and his lackeys will never find you."
"I don't have a daughter." Katherine lied, "Vampires can't procreate."
"It's not very ladylike to lie then again. You haven't been a lady in centuries." Henrik said. Why bother being polite to someone he didn't particularly like?
"If I had a daughter which I never she would have died a long time ago."
"If she remained mortal, of course. But if she happened to be a vampire on the other hand..." Henrik started. Katherine's line of sight turned to Henrik.
"She could still be here." Katherine butt in.
"So what will it be Ms Petrova likely die trying to follow through on a mad man's plan or be reunited with your daughter and finally have your freedom?" Henrik asked if she rejected his deal then he knew he would have to put her down for good.
"I guess we have a deal."
"Excellent," Henrik said as he got up from his seat and made a gesture for Katherine to do the same. He picked the candle up carefully with his right hand and held his left out to Katherine.
"What is with witches wanting to seal their deals with magic," Katherine complained.
"Insurance you can never be too careful Ms Petrova," Henrik responded, "Now your left hand please."
The vampire wanting just to get things over and done with did as she was told. Henrik closed his eyes as he started to pour the melted candle wax over their left hands. The pair hissed Katherine in discomfort, Henrik however in pain. He chanted in Old Norse a language the vampire had never heard spoken before. After the melted wax formed a lock on Katherine left hand a key on Henrik's. The Mikaelson then blew out the lit candle and set it back on the table.
"What did you do to Damon?" Katherine questioned.
"Oh, he's in the bathtub," Henrik responded.
"Call me curious, but what deal do you plan on offering Damon."
"No deal." Henrik answered, "What happens to him after tonight isn't up to me."
Henrik then handed Katherine a small white card which she accepted.
"It's the address of the witch who will cloak you from the Originals and any of Klaus' lackeys."
Author's Note: I'm sorry this chapter is a lot shorter than the previous one.
