*Lucy's pov*

"First of all Inspector Barnes can be annoying , second of all I didn't get breakfast because George ate mine." I told Lockwood as he was getting in the cab."wait George you ate Lucy's breakfast?" Lockwood asked. "it's not my fault that I was hungrier than normal" George said. I glared at him. "Well I'm hungry and your to blame." I told George. George looked at me and sighed.then he mumbled "should have known that you wouldn't let this go."

*Katniss pov*

I looked at Inspector Barnes. He was a very odd man, for the most part. He seemed to not know that I had no idea what the "Problem" was."Bloody hell, where are they? They should be here by now."Barnes said. "Maybe ,if I knew who you're talking about i could help." I suggested. "huh, oh no ,Miss Everdean that won't be necessary." Barnes said.

"why not"

" They just arrived."

I looked up.

*Lockwood pov*

"Remind me why are we here." Lucy asked. I sighed " I don't know Luce , maybe a cat got stuck in a tree or something." I told her. as we entered Scotland Yard. a thought occurred to me. "or maybe Barnes wants George to go on a diet." I said trying to get her to smile, but instead getting George to say " Hey!"

*George pov*

"Mr.George Cubbins ,Mr.Anthony Lockwood, and Miss.Lucy Carlyle meet Miss. Katniss Everdean." I looked at the girl. She seemed nice ,but then again Lucy didn't have any donuts ,like I thought when i first met her,so...

"Just call me Katniss."the girl said in a strange accent."I came from Panem."

"Um,where is Panem exactly" I asked

" It doesn't exist anymore. I keep forgetting"she answered.

"Let me get to the point." Barnes said"you three will help Miss Everdean set up defenses for her house with her room mates."

"Okay Mr. Barnes" Lucy said Standing up and looking at him"we'll take it from here."
