I was sitting on the couch eating the food that Ezio had prepared. I was so hungry after my long journey. Ezio just sat there, watching me eat.

"How about chewing your food?" he joked holding back his laughter.

"Hey, I had to walk here on foot, and run away from wolves. Those wolves came back last night and they were stalking me. I got up a tree and slept. I don't know if they wanted to attack me, but they still scared me," I said around a full mouth.

"Not all wolves are bad," Ezio implied walking over to the fireplace to put in another log.

After I was finished eating, I took the plate back into the kitchen and set it on the table. He walked into the kitchen and looked at me and smiled. "I have to go feed the horses. Try not to get yourself in trouble while I'm gone," he stated while walking out the door and heading to the barn. I explored the house and waited for him to return.

A few minutes later Ezio walked in and Ty was behind him.

"I told you that you would be alright," Ty said as he hugged me.

"Yeah, but I did have an encounter with wolves," I stated with a smirk on my face.

"Well you were bound to see wolves. I never said you wouldn't see them," he stated, looking at me with a smile.

Then he turned to Ezio and gave him a look. I couldn't tell if it was a worried look or something else.

"Can I talk to you, about-," Ty whispered quietly to Ezio. He just gave Ty a look and put his finger over his mouth.

"Not in front of her" I heard Ezio say as I walked into the living room.

He idiots I'm still here.

"Hey, Princess, you should get some rest," Ezio said. He took my hand and lead me up the stairs to a room. "You can get settled in," he said with a smile as he walked out of the room.

I wonder what Ty was talking about. It's not like him to keep secrets from me. I simply shrugged it off and continued what I was doing.

I took off my blue cape and washed it. I took off the rest of my clothes and took a bath while I let my other clothes soak and get cleaned. They had gotten dirty during my escape.

*** Ezio's Point of View ***

"She doesn't know yet. Don't mention that stuff in front of her," I whisper-yelled at Ty while walking back into the kitchen.

"I thought you told her," Ty replied defending himself.

"I don't think she could handle it yet, and with all the stuff that's she's going threw. I don't think the she's ready," I said looking at Ty.

"She's strong. I know here better than you. You may be the alpha and her mate, but I know her better than you," Ty said looking at me seriously.

"I don't want to over load her. Especially the way the last guy treated her. She just has a lot going on. End of conversation," I replied calmly, walking into the living room.

"I know Shade is my mate, but I just don't know if she will except me for what I am."

"Well, it's no secret to her that you like her. I've seen the way you look at her," Ty stated, sitting down on the floor in front of the fireplace.

I looked at Ty and he looked at me waiting for me to say something.

"Well, now that she's away from her kingdom, their will be a search party for her. If I don't turn up, they will know that she's with me. I will have to go 'search' for her, but I want someone here to make sure she isn't found by the Knights or other wolves. I'm giving you orders to watch her while I'm away," I said looking at him very seriously.
