...
(Michael's P.O.V)

I started getting a massive headache out of nowhere and my body felt unnaturally weak. Once I shook my head to snap out of it, I opened my eyes to a familiar place! A place that I hoped I'd forgotten...

"Black cats and goblins and broomsticks and ghosts."

"That chant..."

"Covens of witches with all of their hosts."

"No...no, not again!"

"You may think they scare me. You're probably right."

"Oh god no, no! NO!"

I shut my eyes and tried to cover my ears so I wouldn't hear the chant but it kept growing louder. I even tried screaming to drown out the chant!

"Black cats and goblins on Halloween night."

"Shut up!!!! Make it stop!!!"

"Trick or Treat!"

"NOOO!!!"

Silence. Just pure silence. I opened my eyes to see that I was in the backyard of my old home---back in 1997! First, I looked down at myself and realised I was fully clothed, thank god. Then I looked around and decided to look down at the house across from mine and I saw...a younger me, in the clown costume. I studied the facial expression and I looked emotionless. Empty! And the eyes...now I understood what Dr Loomis was talking about. My eyes looked alive and normal, but it's like there was something inhumane about them at the same time.

I was about to walk over to my younger self until I saw a little girl about 3-4 years old in a medieval princess costume running up to him!

"W-wait!" I shouted at her, knowing what was about to happen, but I don't think she heard me.

"Michael? What are you doing?" The little girl sweetly asked him. "I thought we were gonna go trick or treating for the last time tonight before I move away."

"I...I wanted to go home." The younger version of me croaked to the little girl as he turned to face her.

I realised that I was dreaming since their voices sounded echo-y! But this memory, it's not the same one I had before and certainly not in the way it played out, last time I checked! I only remembered just walking up to my house and spying on my sister with her boyfriend and that all of a sudden, I had an urge to kill my sister...

The little girl began to pout but quickly shook it off with a big sigh. "Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow? Before I have to go?" she asked the younger me.

"Yeah..." the younger me croaked again with a nod and lifted up his arms to reach out for the little girl. "I'll miss you, Trinity."

'Trinity?! M-My Trinity?!' I exclaimed within my inner thoughts.

"I'll miss you too, Mikey!" the little girl whimpered as she hugged back younger me.

"Hey, don't cry." the younger me chuckled. "I'll write to you when I can."

"You promise?" the younger Trinity sniffled as she looked up at the younger me. "You know where I'm going, right?"

"Yeah, I promise." the younger me answered her, giving her a small squeeze and a small peck on the forehead. "You should probably go back to your mom. She'll get worried!"
