His mind was everywhere, his thoughts running like a track star— or the power light-beams in those weird shows.
He tried explaining to his mother, they just wouldn't listen.
"Ma, I'm not getting bullied—" Cael said, his hands roaming through his hair as sweat drops to the floor.
"No, I am not dealing with this non-sense. You know what I'm gonna do?" She looked towards his father, and saw the agreement in his eyes.
"We're giving you a bodyguard." They said, both in sync while Cael's face only dropped. Not from shock, not from fear— neither of those.
From excitement, his hands dropped and he hugged his mother and father. Nobody at school would mess with him— really!
He would be rich, and he would look— I don't know, strong!
"So when is he gonna come?"
A questioning look formed on their faces, but he guessed they shrugged it off. "Tomorrow, rest up and make sure those bullies get what they deserve." His father said.
