SHU🥱:

I sighed, resting my head on my hand; my eyes lazily focused on the teacher jotting down equations on the chalkboard. I looked around the room at all the other students scribbling away in their notebooks, eager to copy everything before the teacher, Mr. Sakamoto, swiftly erased it.

"Does that all make sense to you lot?" He bitterly asked, a sharp edge to his words. If there is one thing that I have learned from Mr. Sakamoto, it's that he loathes children—more so teenagers. Why he chose to become a teacher I will never know. Still, he was good at his job. I guess that's all I care about.

The students all nodded their heads, a sea of bobbing. Sakamoto rolled his sleeves up his pale arms, clasping the cuffs around his elbow, before refacing the chalkboard. He grabbed the eraser off of the small, dirty ledge and began to quickly erase his work. Some students groaned as they were unable to copy everything down. I snapped my notebook shut, tossing my pencil into my black pencil bag and zipping it closed. Ayato gave me a small wave, a mischievous glint shimmering in his emerald eyes. I found my mind wandering back to Shu. A few days had passed since I first met him.

You're welcome back anytime...

I took my phone out of my pocket and glanced at my schedule for the rest of the day. I didn't have any plans after school...maybe I'll pay him a visit. He was kind enough to help me with my detention.

I drummed my fingers on the hard surface of my desk while staring at the ticking hands of the clock. Much to my pleasure, the bell rang promptly; dismissing us from the torture of Mathematics. I grabbed my bag and swung it over my shoulder. I stood from my desk and hurried out of the classroom, excitement in my heart. Despite only just meeting him, I could already feel that we would get along well. A smile stretched across my lips as I walked to the music room.

In a record time, I found myself gazing at the large, black door. I reached my hand out to grasp the door when I heard the sound of footsteps from the other side. I took a step back, surprised, as the door swung open. My eyes locked into a pair of familiar sapphire ones. He looked like he had just woken from a small nap, a small line of drool running down the bottom of his chin.

"Ah, hello," he tiredly greeted, a yawn escaping his lips.

"Evening, Shu. Did you have a nice nap?" I asked with a small smile.

"Huh? How did you know?"

"You've got a bit of drool on your chin," I said with a giggle. His eyes widened as he attempted to wipe it away, but failed. "Here, let me..."

I reached up and dragged the back of my sleeve against his chin. He looked down at me with soft eyes. Once I realized how close I had placed myself I felt a hot burning sensation under my cheeks as I blushed profusely. I quickly withdrew my hand and slapped it behind me. Shu chuckled at my behaivour and motioned me inside the music room. I walked past him and into the room, a strong feeling that he was watching me filled my mind for a brief moment. He closed the door and sat on a small sofa, gently patting the spot next to him. I stood for a moment before plucking up a small amount of courage and sitting on the other edge of the sofa.

"Haha, why are you sitting so far away from me? I don't bite you know...at least not other vampires," he said with a small laugh. "Come here."

He extended his hand to me, a happy smile on his lips. I reluctantly took his hand and he yanked me to his side, rather roughly I might add. I felt my shoulder brushing against his, his hand still wrapped around mine.
