🎵 SAJE - FREEFALLIN' DREAMS 🎵

Lexi was laying in her bed, she couldn't stop thinking about that night at the New Year's Party. The way Fez looked at her like no guy ever did in her entire life. There was something utterly charming under that dangerous cover. She knew that he never meant to turn out this way. She knew that there should've been a good reason why he started selling drugs, why he dropped out, why he beat up Nate Jacobs. For some reason, she truly believed that this reason has to be sincerely selfless. Fresco didn't seem like someone who could do such acts out of arrogant and selfish reason. His eyes that night... There's no way these eyes could have anything evil behind them. So what is it?

The night at the store. She felt so stupid for not acting out, for not warning him, for not explaining everything. God, she could've killed Cassie right there for giving Fez out. But no, she is Lexi. The good girl, the good friend, the good sister, the quiet one, the well-behaved one... Sometimes she would just lay there and imagine herself as someone completely different, someone more confident, someone who would stand up for something, not stand aside.

Meanwhile, Fezco was laying in his bed, staring at the ceiling. He couldn't understand why didn't Lexi warn him about Cal. Was she the one to spill the guts about him being the person who beat up Nate Jacobs? Is that who she thinks he is? That violent beast who can easily kill someone with their own bare hands?

He is not like that. Well, yeah, he can kill a man like that, but it's not like these men were some kind of saints. They deserve that. Why should the kingdoms weep when the villains fall?

And yet, he felt betrayed for what she did. He would've expected it for anyone, but not from her. If she was the one to give him out to Cal, why did she come to the store in the first place? It didn't make any sense. If she was so afraid of him, why did she find the bravery to come, look him in the face and openly hide this under the small talk. As soon as Cal left, she ran away so fast before he could ask anything. These thoughts were driving him crazy.

Lexi took her phone and stared at the screen for a minute second-guessing her decision. What does she actually know about Fez? And who was that Faye girl? Why does she live with him? Who are they to each other? They're not dating, are they? Maybe they're just fuck-buddies? Fez didn't seem like someone who would do something like that... In fact, Fez didn't seem like someone who would even be into an relationship...

She shook these thoughts off, unlocked her phone, went through the contacts to find the right number, and started typing:

"Hey, Fezco. It's Lexi. Lexi Howard. I really wanted to talk to you about something..."

She stared at the message for a few seconds. Before she could erase everything completely crossing this idea out of her head, she quickly presses "send", anxiously locks her phone and turns back staring at the ceiling. At that moment, it felt like everything froze... Time stopped moving... She could hear her heart pounding in her chest.
