"Dawn, come down for breakfast!" My brother yelled to me from downstairs and I yelled back "one minute!" I groaned and rolled out of my warm fluffy purple blankets and headed for my bathroom taking a quick shower. After getting out i walk to my wardrobe picking out a sweater black t-shirt and a pair of jeans. My room had white walls dark wood flooring and a dark gray rug around my bed. My bay window was set up with purple pillows and a black throw. My queen sized bed sat in the middle of my apartment sized room with my bathroom across from my bed. I walked over to my bay window and opened the doors to the balcony and grabbed my bag off the small table I had set up. I need to start bringing my stuff in at night in case it rains. I packed my bag, brushed my teeth and long dark brown hair looking in the mirror at my pale complexion and how my blue eyes pop with my outfit feeling satisfied and headed downstairs. I grabbed a plate and put scrambled eggs, toast, and bacon and grabbed a bottle of orange juice from the fridge. I sat down at the table next to my older brother who looks shares my looks but with green eyes. "Don't forget I wont be able to pick you up from school so you'll have to walk or get a ride."

"Okay, will you be home for dinner?"

"No but here is some money for take out. I will see you in the morning after my shift. Serena isn't going to be back in town until tomorrow night. They extended the shoot and she has been promoted to head make-up artist. I'm so proud."

"I'm proud of you both. I can only hope to be a successful doctor or make-up artist like you two have done."

"We are already proud of you as is but you are a pain in the ass." He smirked at me as I hit his shoulder. "Way to ruin the moment bro." We shared a small laugh and said our goodbyes as he left for work. I cleaned up the kitchen and put on my boots grabbing my bag and quickly leaving the house. I spotted my friend Elizabeth on the other side of my fence and smiled, glad I didn't have to walk to school. Her bright red hair, green eyes, pale freckled face, and short physique make her look like a spirited pixie as she smiles and waves excitedly at me. "Thank you for picking me up Liz."

"No problem girlie. You look cute, ready for the first day back to school? The big special senior year?"

"Is anyone ever ready for school?"

"You're right!" She laughed and pulled her candy red ford focus out of my driveway and to the school parking lot. As she pulls in we see our best friend Jacob sitting on a rail that blocks the sidewalk from the edge of the parking lot waiting for us. "Hey girlies, ready for class? Where to first?" He smiles and his almost black hair and tan skin make his teeth even brighter and his brown eyes crinkle in the corner showing how happy he is. Him being 6 foot and Liz and I being 5 and a half feet tall makes it awkward to wrap our arms around his waist as he holds our shoulders. "As ready as we will ever be Jay."  They walk me to my first class and continue to theirs. We only have lunch and math together so I don't get to see them much throughout the day. First up, history, my least favorite. I walk into the classroom quickly and take my seat in the back corner by the window. Being so unpopular isn't too bad when you don't have to worry about someone sitting next to you or cheating off your tests, I get my work done while being invisible. I'm an optimistic, what can I say. "Good morning class. My name is Mrs. Saunders and we will be reading from our new books today. When I call your name, please come up and grab a book." After everyone that showed up got their books and were seated again we started reading and taking notes. The door opens and the whole class looks up to see the tall dark brown haired stranger with blue eyes entering our classroom. "Nice of you to join us Mr. Benson, class this is our new student Anthony. He just transferred from Florida. Please grab a book and take a seat. He grabs a book and I notice the only seat open is the two around me. Great, so much for going unnoticed. He sits next to me and leans over. "Hey, can I borrow a pencil, I didn't come very prepared."

"Sure." I grab an extra pencil and hand it to him and as I looked around I could see the other students sending him curious glances. Some of the girls sending me looks of hate and I just lay my head on my desk. When will this day end?
