FESTIVAL NIGHT

Kanako's POV

" They are sure late. "

I looked at my watch and realized that I've been standing here for how many minutes. Those guys surely didn't change. Its been a while since that trip at the beach and that is when I last saw Sayuki. She visit her relatives at their hometown after that so we didn't get to meet up. It's not like I mind, but she didn't even bothered calling me which makes me somewhat feel mad at her.. It felt like nothing happened back at the hotel..

I took all my guts to say those embarrassing words after all!! -/////-

Jeez, but even though I said those things...
It doesn't feel like it matters for her..

I sighed with all my might. I was about to take a walk as I heard someone calling out for my name. It was Hayate.
I glared at her, who wouldn't.

" You're late... "

"but... "

" Again,"

I continued before she makes excuses for herself. I lead the way and as we walk through those fancy and bright stores, we tried everything we could.

It was a not-so-bad experience but I wished that Sayuki was with us. I gazed at the sky, wondering if right at this very moment.. We're both looking at it..

" It's pretty, right? "

A soft tone voice appeared. As I nod at it for confirmation, I looked at that person and with that very moment, My world suddenly stopped from moving.
This very girl that I least expected to see in the midst of this crowd..

This very girl I've been longing to see of all people.

She's here..

" S-Sayuki. "

She smiled at me, as if she was longing to see me too.. She was wearing a very expensive Yukata and her hair was all tied up.. I can guess that she was wearing a make up too. Oh great, Yes she's beautiful... And It feels like it is something I can't contain on my own.. It felt like I can't be greedy. Why, why does it feels like I can't take her by myself..
As I look at her face, I saw a single sweat tear running down her cheek. I can also feel her heavy breathes.

" Are you okay? "

I asked worrying and I don't really want to jump into conclusion that's why hearing it come from her will be more appropriate. She looked at me with a nervous and anxious look, dragged me around.. I don't where she's about to bring me but I didn't care for as long as I was with her.

We arrived at this isolated place, no one around just the two of us. We were both panting for that extreme running drained our energies off.

I looked at her, and in comparison with my condition, she was more exhausted than I do. I took my handkerchief out and wiped her sweat off. She was started at first but then, I caught her staring at me so deeply.

" What's the matter? "

I asked.. She just shook her head off and smiled..

Please don't say nothing especially when it looked like there is something...

At that very moment, I felt a pinch in my heart..

What is she hiding?

I got curious about it but I know I have to shake it off.
And when I was almost done fixing every gland of her hair that fell out from their place , I heard a sudden explosion. As we look at it, those very beautiful fireworks covered the whole sky.
