I tried to sit still in my seat, but I was too ansy. I had to tell someone -anyone- about what Kate just told me before class. I slowly zoned out of Mrs. Capuono's history lesson imagining all the impractical outcomes of the ordeal and wondered what was really going to happen.
Maybe he'll go to jail or never get a job because his record is so bad. On the other hand, what he did wasn't that bad. Or was it?
"Maggie, will you answer question five for us?" Mrs. Capuano asked me. Woke me up from my reveries. "Huh? Oh, um yeah, sure." I stuttered trying to figure out where we were on the page.. "Bottom of 286." Jay whispered from behind me. Crap....I was four pages off.
