Sleep soundly now baby boy
Taken back into my arms
Rest now, relax, stay and heal
I'll keep you from further harm

Though you may never fully heal,
You may always be impaired,
But I'll stay with you and help out
I won't be so easily scared

There may be times we're kept apart
But I will never forget my promise
I will keep you in my heart
And give you any cuddles you miss

I know I will always care
Something injury can never impair
My love and care don't easily break
Something that nothing can ever take

You're safe in my arms now,
So soundly get rest
So when you awake
You may be at your best

No matter what happens
I feel safe with you
So never worry
About me leaving you

You have yet to make me
Anger in the slightest
Your care for me has such
Made me feel lightest

I love the feeling of your arms around me
I even like the way you softly snore
I'm glad to know you're getting your sleep
I'm happy helping you sleep unlike before

Any insecurities you may ever face
Will only receive my reassurance
No matter how many times it takes
I only will ever reply with endurance

You may have been treated wrongly before
But I will change what's all that you've known
I'll stand up defensively and keep even score
Against any battle I will hold my own
