Katie, 16, going on to 17, moved to East Highland just before she started the new school year. She grew up in Anaheim California with her younger sister, and father. Her mother walked out when she was three, and her sister being one. Kay is very close with her father and sister. She and her sister, Ella, had always had a tight bond, Kay had considered Ella to be her best friend. Her father did everything he could to give the two the best lives, he loved them with his entire heart, he didn't have a lot of one on one time with them, but the girls didn't care, they were just thankful he stuck around. Kay held her family very close to her heart. They were all she had.
Kay was a quiet girl with people she didn't know, but very loud, and outgoing around the people she was close to. She loved to paint, draw, read, pretty much anything that brought her some sort of inner peace. Her family would say she was a positive, happy, loving girl, but what they didn't know what was actually going on. She stayed positive for her sister, because she didn't want her going through what she had went through. She put on a smile, so her dad didn't have to stress out anymore then he already was. And lastly, she was loving, but to everyone but herself. She hated herself. She hated that she was shy, and quiet, she was embarrassed that she didn't have enough courage to be herself around people. She disliked her rolls which she thought were too big, her thin pin straight hair that got greasy too fast, she hated her nose, her smile, her laugh, her voice, and those stupid dimples that popped out when smiled, the dots on her forehead, and her big man hands.
Truth being told, people were intimidated by her. She was so fucking gorgeous, people just ran away from her, they were scared she would reject them. When people heard her laugh, they felt like they're ears were being blessed. And not to mention, that sweet angelic voice that made boys knees wobble beneath them. If only she knew the power she held.
Katie wasn't excited to move, she dreaded having to start over and meet new people. She didn't like change, not even the smallest changes, so this was something she was terrified of. But what she didn't know, was that her life was going to change even more, for the worse? Or for the better?
