A bloody pool

Riddhima's POV..

The warmth of the night gave way to silvery half-light as the moon rose above the houses.. clouds scudded across the hazy sky..I walked quickly..I wanted to be at home,safe and warmy in my cosy house..I should not come here..I should not come here to watch the beauty of pool which was shining in a moonlight..
I heard a noise behind me, it was only faint but there was definitely something there inside the pool..I quickened my pace,aware that I was on my own , no one to call out to or ask for help..the noise became louder..it was the sound of heavy footsteps behind me..I was running now, running blindly through the darkness .my heart was pounding and my mouth was dry with fear..

Suddenly I felt that the roots of the huge Banyan tree was wrapping around my body..it dragged me towards itself. I shouted.. Vansh Vansh..but he was not there..I tripped and fell clumsily on the rough path, my knees and hands stung with a sharp pain where I scrabbled in panic to get up..to carry or fleeing from the unknown danger,which was so quickly gaining on me..

I felt the rush of the wind as a figure passed me then stopped and turned to face me..A thin hand reached out towards me, I heard a scream rise from deep within me but it made no sound, fear had taken over..I was paralyzed, chilled to my very soul with the sight of the horrific face infront..

He picked me up by his big hands and then thrown me in that pool... then the darkness surrounded me....

Next day,

Vansh- riddhima did u went somewhere last night ?

Riddhu(confused)- who? I?
What are u saying vansh ? I didn't go anywhere..I was sleeping beside u only..

Vansh- but in midnight, when I opened my eyes. I didn't found u sleeping beside me.. infact I searched the whole house and waited for u for 2 hours but then I fall asleep and when I opened my eyes in morning , I saw that u were sleeping beside me peacefully.

Riddhu- huh..I think u are drunk Vansh..I didn't went anywhere last night..plzz trust me and if I went then why I didn't remember anything..

Vansh- but ridd...

He tried to speak but she ignored his words and lashed the door on his face..

He was sipping his coffee while reading the newspaper..
As soon as he read the headlines,he becomes tensed..

" AGAIN ONE SKELETON WAS FOUND IN PRATAPGARH..HANGING ON A HUGE BANYAN TREE AND THE COLOUR OF THE POOL WAS RED.."
