"it hurts to know that you will never look at me the way i look at you"

"i'm sorry" the young girl gasped when she felt herself bump into someone. looking up, she was met with onyx eyes. "are you okay?" the man asked noticing the mascara that streaked down her cheeks. "mhmm, i'm fine" she mumbled and hurriedly rushed passed him.

he turns to watch as she practically ran while wiping the tears from her face. he watched the way she held the front of her sundress so she didn't trip over herself. he couldn't help but wonder where she were going. why was she crying and in such a rush, not that it was his business, but she looked so enchanting, he'd never seen someone as beautiful as her.

making her way to the cemetery as fast as she could, her a sundress blowing with the wind and the clicking of her heels on the concrete. when she reached the gates of the cemetery she looked around hoping what she heard was a lie.

pushing the creaking gate open she walked into the cemetery. looking around her heart sank when she seen the words 'baji family grave'. rushing to the headstone she dropped to her knees crying once again. "keisuke" she sobbed for her older brother.

a picture of him was displayed on the grave. he was smiling in the photo. she had taken that photo of him kept a copy of it with her in America, startled when she heard a noise she glanced around seeing the man she had bumped into.

"you know keisuke?" he asked looking down at the headstone. "he's my brother" she mumbled turning back to the headstone. "didn't see you at his funeral" the man looked at her suspiciously. "i didn't know he was dead" she sniffed wiping her tears.

the man knelt down handing her a tissue, "how does his own sister not know he's dead". "i was in america with our father, he never told me".

she jumped slightly when she felt his hand on her lower back "i apologise" he spoke softly setting a single flower on the grave. "how'd you know him?" she looked up at him. "we were in a gang together".

"keisuke in a gang, no way" she scoffed. the man chuckled slightly pulling a photo from his pocket. it was a picture of him and keisuke stood back to back both of them smiling and wearing black uniforms with gold stitching.

taking the photo in her hand she smiled rubbing her thumb across the photo "he looks so happy" she smiled. "is that you?" she questioned pointing to the other boy with blond hair pulled into a ponytail. he nodded "yeah, your brother and i were founding members of toman"

she nodded handing him back the photo. "here's another one" he pulled another photo from his pocket. this time six young boys were sat in front of a flag. all in the same black uniform with gold stitching.

she gasped "is that takashi" he nodded. "woah i didn't think he'd be in a gang, he's such a sweet person, how is he?" she asked. "he's doing good" the man smiled sitting next to her properly. she smiled tapping her feet to a beat.

the man scratched the back of his neck nervously "hey uh, i never got your name?".
"y/n, what about you, what do i call ya?" she smiled up at him handing him back the photo, "draken". she nodded turning back to face the grave "can i ask you something?"

draken glanced at her "mhmm?". "why'd you follow me to the cemetery?" she never took her eyes off the grave. "tokyo is a rough place, especially right now with all the gangs, you're lucky it was me you bumped into and not someone else" he looked down.

"why's that?" she looked at him. "if it was anyone else they woulda killed ya for bumping into them, girl or not". she nodded "i gotta get going" she stood up flattening out her dress. draken nodded standing up.

she smiled and turned to leave "see ya around draken". he nodded turning to walk the opposite direction. draken cursed to himself when he found himself turning around.

jogging to catch up to her, he tapped her shoulder. she turned around tilting her head to the side "something wrong?".

"i was just wondering if you'd like to catch a movie sometime?". she smiled swaying back and forth from her heels to her tippy toes. "sure i'd love to". she looked down "i uh don't have a phone right now" she ran her hands through her hair.

draken looked at her confused "it's a long story, i'm getting a new one tomorrow so if you write your number down i'll give you a text?". draken nodded "sure". he took a pen from his uniform pocket along with a slip of paper writing down his number.

she smiled placing the paper into her purse "see ya around draken" she turned to continue her way home.
