next full moon

[ The story is in Ran's POV ]

I starred at Kakucho as he slept, the way the moonlight reflected on his ethereal face made me smile in admiration. But soon it faded away when he muttered an all too well familiar name.

"I-Izana..."
he mumbled, kinda like a whisper but I hear it. All too clear.

I felt my chest tighten as I looked at him with teary eyes, I looked away got my coat, and started to walk at Bonten's long hallway towards the garden. The moonlight was the only light I had when I reached the garden as I sighed.

"He still thinks of him... Then what about me?"
I mumbled and sat at the center of the garden then laid down.

"I was dumb to accept your request to dye my color lavender. Bullshit."
I cursed and let out a frustrated sigh.

"Why would you even kiss me when all you think is him, Kakucho?"
I asked myself as I chuckled just noticing that tears were falling at the side of my eyes, but it didn't matter anymore. "I'm not even in the same league as him..." I looked at the full moon and smiled as I admired how pretty the moon is.

"Do you ever think of me too? Did I ever cross your mind? Fuck I'm desperate huh."
I cursed again as I let out a low laugh.

"You only have that loving look in your eyes when your drunk, Kakucho... I wish you were sober tho..." I mumbled as I felt the sleepiness crept me.

"I wish I was Izana, huh..." I mumbled before slowly drifting to sleep.

...

Kakucho groaned as he woke up not seeing his boyfriend, Ran, by his side.

"Ran?"
he lowly called out to him but silence greeted him. He got his robe and got out to look for him, he was about to go to the garden but stopped when he saw Sanzu carrying Ran, he hid behind the door as Sanzu entered.

"When are you going to notice me, Ran?"
Sanzu mumbled as he gently placed the tall male on the couch. He wiped Ran's tears away as he smiled.

"I'll just keep watching you from the sidelines..."
he whispered and kissed the male's forehead before covering him with his coat. He placed Ran's coat aside and walked away, back to his room.

"I'll fucking kill Kakucho if he ever makes you cry again."
Sanzu mumbles but Kakucho heard him.

When Kakucho noticed Sanzu was away he walked towards where Ran was as he looked at him. Guilt filled his mind as he held the male's hand, he kneeled on one leg and gently caressed the male's tender hand.

"I-I didn't mean to make you feel this way, Ran... You just wanted love... I'm sorry."
Kakucho mumbled as he looked at the male's sleeping face. He smiled as he gently stroked his cheek. He looked like the counterpart of Aphrodite, he looked like Venus.

"I tried to love you Ran, but it seems my heart will always belong to him. I'm sorry."
he says as he placed a soft kiss on the male's lips. Kakucho smiled as he carried the male back to their room, but Kakucho slept on the futon below the bed instead.

The next day, Ran didn't speak both with Kakucho and Sanzu, and pretended that they never existed, the other executives, including Rindou, were confused about why he was acting that way.

"I'll be away for 3 hours I think I'll be back before dinner."
Ran said to Mochi and Takeomi as they nodded. Ran got on his Bugatti and drove out of the mansion.

"Where is Ran going?"
Sanzu asked the two, they shrugged. "He never told us, he only said he'll be back before dinner."
Takeomi answered. He just nodded as he got a cigar out and smoked.

...

"Wow, you look amazing Rannie boy!"
Lucy said as I smiled at her. "Really?" "Of course! You look stunning at your new hair color."

I smiled as I looked at the mirror to see my new hair color. Even if it's just black I couldn't help but chuckle at Lucy's compliments of how I look nice with black hair. And as usual, he refused to take any of my money.

"Shush take this back Rannie boy like I said before I'll forever be your family's hairstylist till my last breath,"
she said as I smiled pulling her into a hug.

"Thanks for always being there, granny Lucy,"
I said as she playfully smacked my shoulders. "I'm only 55 Rannie, you silly boy," she said as I chuckled. I smiled as I secretly placed the envelope with money in her bag as I waved goodbye to her.

...

"Where's Ran thought he would be here before dinner?"
Takeomi asked Mochi as Mochi shrugged lighting up a cigar. Mochi was about to say something when Ran's Buggati finally showed up at the gates. "Oh never mind here he is."

I got out of the Bugatti and was met with stares by Takeomi, Sanzu, and Mochi.

"R-Ran?!"
Mochi stuttered dropping his cigar down on the ground. I smiled as I looked at him.

"Oh yeah?"

"Wait are you sure you're Ran?!"
Takeomi says pointing out his gun. I only chuckled and kicked the gun out of his hands as I caught it with my left hand.

"Chill it's me I just dyed my hair black, that's all."
I said and gave his gun back.

"Y-You look nice, Ran."
Sanzu says as I looked at him smiling. "Thanks." I shortly replied to him.

"Oi, dinner's read- WAIT BROTHER IS THAT YOU?!"
I heard Rindou yell from behind as I waved at him.

"Yeah, it's me."
I said smiling and went inside. "C'mon let's eat dinner now before boss starts yelling about how long we are."

After dinner, I went back to the garden where I fell asleep last night as I smiled and looked at the moon. "Hello, old friend," I mumbled as I sat on the grass, and the bunny I was secretly taking care of hopped onto my lap. I smiled softly gently patting its head. I started humming when I heard our musician neighbor play his piano.

I smiled looking at the moon again and held the bunny close.

"Till the next full moon for me, huh?"
I mumbled and started to fall asleep with the bunny comfortably lying on my chest.
