"You have two hours alright?" Lyssie's Mother instructed.

"Alright, Bye mom!" Lyssie dashed out the door towards the cafe.

The cafe was Lyssie's favorite place, she felt safe there. It was as if nothing could hurt her there no matter what she had done.

The cafe was about 15 minutes away, along this walk she saw horses, food stands and shops of the alike. She also saw kids running around wreaking havoc to all those around. You made an effort to help an old lady clean up her flowers that had fallen off a table.

Once she arrives at the cafe she walks in and greets her best friend, Madeline.
Madeline worked at the cafe, they had been Lyssies friend since year 3 and had stuck together like glue to paper.

"can I get.. An iced vanilla bean latte, in a small.. with two cups of cream and.. a blueberry muffin?" Lyssie struggled to get out the order that she should've known by heart.

"That'll cost 4.73" Madeline spoke while grabbing the money on the table.

"Your order number 37 by the way" They shout back as Lyssie finds her way to a seat.

"Order number 37!!" Madeline shouts at Lyssie to get her attention.

"Thanks Madeline, when's your break?" Lyssie questions.

"12:30" Madeline remarks.

Lyssie looks up at the clock that reads 12.20.

"So ten minutes?" Lyssie sarcastically questions.

"Yes Lyssie, ten minutes" Madeline sighs in between her sentences before turning back to help an incoming customer.

The new customer to say the least looked adorable. They had short blonde hair with blue eyes and a light blue dress with white sleeves.

Lyssie couldn't help but blush at the sight of her. You darted your eyes down at your coffee to try and hide Lyssie reactions from Madeline.

Unfortunately Lyssie failed to do so. So when the time hit 12.30, Madeline walked over.

"Soo, what do you think of the new customer?" Madeline teased.

"Nothing Madeline, absolutely nothing." Lyssie deflected.

"Okay then, just so you know I know them really well so they'll be around here more often." With that madeline pulled her chair out and sat down.

Lyssie continued to glance up at the girl, she couldn't help it. She wanted to know everything about the girl.

Lyssie's thoughts were interrupted however as you turned to your best friend.

"Hey Allica! Do you wanna come sit with us? I'm sure Lyssie would enjoy meeting you!" Madeline encourages.
Madeline looks to Lyssie once finished and winks.

"I'm going to kill you once I get the chance" Lyssie mumbles just loud enough for Madeline to hear.

"Hi Madeline!" Allica greets before she turns to you with a confused face.

"What's your name?"

"Lyssie. Yours?" Lyssie returns the question.

"Allica, you might've heard about me from Madeline." Allica shyly turns to Madeline when mentioning her.

"She hasn't no" Lyssie replied, while giving Madeline a glare.

"I didn't think you needed to know Lyssie. Apparently you did." Madeline jokes.

Allica looks over at Lyssie and gives her a light smile before taking a sip of her coffee.

"Oh crap my breaks are over, I'll leave you two to converse." Madeline rushes her words before running over to her station and beginning her work shift.

"So, how do you know Madeline?" Allica attempts making a conversation.

" I met her in year 3, we were partners for a gym activity." Lyssie states

"How did you meet her?"
"I met her through my dad, I live in the next kingdom over. Apparently they were friends so we took a trip to visit them and now I'm here." Allica explains.

" That's cool, do you have a phone or anything? For when you move back? Lyssie pushes.

" I do, why do you want my number?" Allica asks.

"If you don't mind, that would be enjoyable." Lyssie feels her cheeks turning more pink by the second.

" Sure, my number is ***-***-****" Allica reads off her phone.

Lyssie types it in, before texting a ~Hi ^-^~ to ensure that she had in fact typed it in correctly.

" Alright I got it" Allica states before turning towards Lyssie.

"You have really pretty eyes Lyssie" Allica says while staring before quickly covering her mouth and turns away.

Lyssie laughs and makes a note to herself of the interaction. Lyssie then touches her shoulder turning her back

" Hey if this helps, I was looking at you earlier thinking the same thing." Lyssie whispers before turning to grab her empty coffee cup and tries drinking it.

" Maybe we're both embarrassed, but that's okay" Allica expresses.

Just then Lyssies phone goes off, she looks and it's her mother calling.

" You were supposed to be home 10 minutes ago! Where are you!" Lyssie pulls her phone farther from her ear due to the sound.

"Sorry mom I got distracted, i'll head back now" Lyssie attempts to explain, while packing up her stuff.

"You better." was the last thing Lyssie heard before her mom hung up.

" Sorry Allica, I need to go, my mom expected me home 10 minutes ago." Lyssie apologies.

" It's fine Lyssie, Text me later though!" Allica proclaims.

"Will do" Lyssie makes a mental note to do just that before waving to Madeline and running out the door.
