The log cabin through the trees

The human had fallen asleep, but he would wake up soon when the rain was finally over. As soon as he woke up, he would check the window close to the exit door outside to see if it had stopped raining outside which it did. Realizing this, he left the house to go back to the beach. He always knew that someone was taking the food he would leave every day he came. As he always wanted to know who or what was taking them, he'd dream that they could be like friends since he would often be lonely in the forest, the only people who would go are either his family, or people who probably got lost.

As soon as he stepped on the warm sands of the beach, he looked over to the rock where the food was laid on. Each step he took closer to it he could see the meal's absence with no trace left behind. This however didn't let the man down, instead he felt a bit happier knowing that there was indeed someone receiving all of these. He turned the other way and left back home.

Later it would eventually become the evening, and he was already inside his house. He was in the kitchen, cooking up some rice on the stove. When he turned his head he realized a letter sitting on the table, "Hmm, must be from Darnell and his bird..." He thought to himself as he waited for the rice to simmer into the pot. He had walked to the table and opened the note.

"Hey Sam, if you're reading this then you've probably guessed correct. It's me, your best friend Darnell! Me and Coco will be visiting you soon, probably a day or two after you receive this letter.

It sure has been a while hasn't it Sam, not just me but your family also seems to be worried about you. You should visit them sometime...

Maybe even go back to the city?
