Reacting to the Mini Marauders

Scene Six: Planning Stage

The screen fades back into the Lupin's cottage Remus was in his living room drinking a cup of tea and reading the newspaper. He looks up as her hears the sounds of pacing, he placed down his mug and Newspaper and made his way to his daughter's room where she was muttering to herself, Pacing and rubbing her eyes. "Cub is something wrong?" 

She looked to him with a nervous look rubbing her hands together, "I think we messed up, that conversation went astray really quickly, and we were so weird about it. we probably gave him a heart attack. What if he's made at us when we get to school? What if he doesn't want to talk to us again?" 

Remus made quick work of this like he had done it a million times before, he rushed over to her and gripped her hands, "Breath cub breath, remember what we said to calm down." 

"Notice the things around me." 

Everyone was interested seeing as the Gen they had seen so far was a normally confident and upbeat girl seeing anxiety get the best of her was an odd perspective." 

Gen sunk down in her seat suddenly self-conscious. She wished Neville had come with them He was usually her anchor to keep her from being driven into one and he had been whenever she was in school and since her father passed, but he stayed back to watch over Teddy. She fumbled with her thumbs. 

"Good so tell me five things you can see." 

"You, my bed, my bookshelf, the lamp, and my dragon." she said pointing to everything she pointed at ending with the stuffed dragon that she had dropped when her dad walked in. 

he nodded, "Good now four things you can touch." 

"You, my hair, the floor, my dragon."

"Three things you can hear," 

"She closed her eyes and listened, "Cars driving past, rustling leaves, and the fairies kicking my window," 

"Two things you can smell." 

"Chocolate and tea." 

"And one emotion you feel." 

"Overwhelmed." She huffed letting go of his hands and laying on the floor. 

The doorbell rang, "That must be Draco and Lexus, you want me to send them up." she nodded from her place on her carpet.

"Does that happen often," Severus asked. 

She shook her head, "Only when I overthink which I do a lot but usually a friend can bring me back to earth." 

"Oh, so that what her calling him now-mMm" Carina started to tease her only to have a pillow shoved in her face and gen lay over top of her so that she can't continue. 

"Either way Remus handled it really well." Vivian smiled at him awkwardly, they blushed.  

"Gen get off of Carina we don't need her to die yet she already avoided it once."

"The light!" 

Draco and Lexus Greeted Remus and Immediately ran to Gen's room, "that's the last time I suggest the get human interaction." Narcissa said slumping on one or Remus' recliners.

"Tea?" 

"Yes please." 

"What did they see?" 

"It's not what it's a who. They found Hermione."

The two children ran into Gens room and saw her laying on her blue plush carpet. "Is it a floor day?" Draco asked. Gen nodded so the two cousins laid on the floor on either side of her and started talking. "Guess who we found." She turned to him, "Hermione." 

Her eyes widened, "because of that we got some insight into Harry and it's not good." 

"We got some at the Zoo which is why I am on the floor. He's living with Demons." 

"Magic haters?" Draco guested, she nodded. 

Lily let out another sob at the reminder of how her sine was treated. James placed an arm around her and hoped that whatever was revealed to him now about his daughter would be a lot better. 

"Hermione is treated a lot better her parents know about her magic and don't stifle it. But apparently, she's depressed and really pessimistic about life." 

"Its cause her and Harry are apart," Gen told them, "Spectating magic twins so young isn't good, they don't have a handled on their emotions and are more sensitive to each other's emotions and can be damaging magical cores." she tried to reach up for her quill and parchment, but she barely had the energy to sit up. 

"It got it want do you want me to write?" Draco asked. 

"Just tell Carina and Rigel to get her soon" He nodded wrote a basic letter and ran down to Remus asking him to owl it over. 

"You guys are really nice to each other," Remus smiled. He turned to his friends, "Why can't you be like that?" 

Peter made a sound of indigence, "We are delightful." 

"You're about as delightful as the Slytherin common room in winter." 

The Slytherins all shivered knowing how cold in can get in there since they were under the lake, "How do you know what their common room feels Mr. Lupin." Minerva asked 

His eyes widened, "Um I don't, I didn't say anything, what are you talking about?" He blushed. Remus lupin may not have wanted a relationship, but he was still one of Gryffindor's golden boys and considered desirable.

Sirius Laughed at his reaction having known the girl he snuck down there with. Vivian pouted but otherwise had no reaction.

It took nearly an hour for the Blacks to pop through the floo system. "We would have been her sooner, but your owl hit our window." Carina said as her brother walked though carrying Remus's Owl Hermes. 

"He thought it was open Aunt Andy Cleaned it." 

The Black family laughed as they remembered that Andromeda had a habit of cleaning so much that glass would look like it wasn't even there. 

Remus took his owl and placed him in the cage, "It's okay the last time you saw the Weasley twins didn't one of them open the door for his reflection."

"Yeah, George did," they then ran off upstairs. 

They saw Gen on the floor with Draco and Lexus and Carina laid next to Draco and Rigel next to Lexus. "So, we got the basics," 

"How are we gonna Get them to know each other." 

"Well," Gen started with a smirk, "This has to be a gradual process. We already gave harry the locket; I'm thinking for Christmas we give Hermione a book on all the noble purebloods of the UK and their bloodlines." 

Lexus placed a hand under her chin, "She did seem interested in how magical cores weaken and strengthen." 

"We'll give her a magically updating one, and I think Harry should get a photo album but who would know enough and be willing to talk about it, so we didn't scare him by pushing it on to him." 

They all looked at one another, "Hagrid."

"Moony, Viv Your daughter scares me" Peter Squeaked. 

"She's going to rule the world." Sirius exaggerated. Remus and Vivian rolled their eyes but smiled proudly at their daughter who looked at her young self in pride.

I added the whole anxiety scene for two reasons. I had one earlier and wanted to help anyone who might need a way to come down. I hope you enjoyed this. Gen is honestly becoming one of my favorite characters
