Natasha P.OV.

My head hurts. Oh, wait I nearly died. And yet I'm still here.

"Poor child. I'd say it was miracle she even survived it."

"What the car crash?"

"No, the abuse. It will take needed therapy for her."

"Agreed. I'll make some calls but for now we need to get her new bedroom and some clothes."

I heard these voices all around me.

"Scott, I must agree with Jean. Mutant or not. She needs our help. After all, Logan and the Professor requested that she stay here until she is ready. " A stern voice spoke up.

They were concerned....about me. But why, they barely even know me. And they want me to stay?

"Is she alright, Jean?" That voice. I've heard it before. It's him. The one who hit me with his truck but he also rescued me. What was his name again?

"She'll make it, Logan. But I am afraid for her mental state. Who knows how long she has been there and what she has gone through to survive and finally leave that place and her captor." The woman told him. Ah, Logan. That is his name.

"I figured that, Jean. I'll kill the person whoever did this." Logan swore. But wait. Did I heard a...growl from him?

Upon hearing him, I began to drift back to that horrid place. The house. The basement. The beatings. Punishments. His face. His cold steel grey eyes.

"No...No...N-no! No please!!!" I screamed out.  I began to breathe really hard. My chest tightened.  I couldn't breathe.

"H-help m-me..."

{TW Begins}

I heard heavy footsteps near me. The door creaked open revealing him.

"Awake are we?" He asked me.

At first, I didn't say anything. My eyes wandered to the hardwood floor. I saw his shadow signaling that he was front of me. His black work boots were covered in mud. His black trench coat came to my view. He kneeled to the floor to look at me. I was already sitting in a corner.

"Here you go...I brought some red beans and rice, you need to eat." He said.

My eyes landed on the hot food. I couldn't refuse this time. I haven't eaten since two days. Primarily to my punishment of trying to escape. He set the plate near my feet sliding it towards me.

"T-thank you." I responded in a low voice.

In reaction to hearing my voice, he grinned flashing his feral canines at me. He sat fully on the floor next to me.

"Very good. It seems times in here has taught you some manners." He complemented.

I turned my head to look at him. He was still smiling. His dirty hand reached touching my face. It was cold like ice.

"My little spider....."

{TW Ends}

The next thing I knew was doing. My eyes were shutting away the bright light.

Jean Grey's P.O.V.

We all stood discussing about her living arrangements when she started screaming and pleading.

The alarm on the monitor went off.

"She's having an ventricular fibrillation. We need to get the the heart beating back as normal as possible. Ororo help me!!" I yelled.

Ororo and I rushed over to the woman trying to steady her. Her body began to shake violently. Her eyes were dilated.

"Scott and Logan! Clear the room NOW!" I ordered.

I watched them leave the lab. I turned to Ororo who holding her down. "Ororo apply this saline into her IV into her arm with this syringe. Always watch her heart on the heart monitor. Do it." I instructed.

Ororo began to fill the saline IV in the tube that goes into her arm.

The monitor beeped once then again but slower this time.

"No! Ororo defib now!" Jean ordered her friend.

Ororo grabbed the defibrillator from the overhead compartment. She rubbed the pallets together while adding her own lightning.

"Ororo what are doing?!?" I questioned her methods. She gave me a stern look.

"If I don't use it with my lightning then she will die and this will be all for nothing! And the person who has done this to her will have succeeded. He will win. And I am not going to let that happen!" She argued.

I stood there. "Alright, do you what you must." I conceded.

Ororo nodded, raising her hands above her head. Suddenly, lightning streaks appeared around her hands.

"Jean, stand back. I wish not to hurt you or the girl. It will shock her, yes. But it will keep her heart beating the normal way." She said.

I took a step back and let her do her work on the woman. Within an minute, the heart monitor was beeping normally.

I heard Ororo take a long sigh of relief. "It is done. We got her back. We must tell the others." She said.

I nodded.

3rd Person P.O.V.

The labs doors slid open revealing Ororo and Jean. Scott, Logan and Professor X who came a while later all gathered in the waiting area.

"We managed to get her back with Ororo's help." Jean said with a smile.

"Do you know what might have caused it?" Scott asked unsurely.

"My guess was PTSD of something that she may remembered." Jean added.

Professor X sighed at her report.  He wheeled to the window where he saw the sleeping woman.

"Well then, as soon as she stable we can move to a much more comfortable area for her. Please keep an update on her condition, Jean. Everyone else we need to rest. It has been a long day for us. Goodnight."
