She didn't run when he told her everything, she didn't hide.
John didn't scare her, because it was clear that he was done with it all. He was done doing all of that.
'Are you okay?'
He was so timid and Anastasia chuckled, 'I'm fine John, I'm not afraid of you, I've gone through a lot worse', she leaned against the counter seductively, 'and I think it's hot that my boyfriend is a former assassin'.
John cocked an eyebrow at her, 'oh really?'
'Really'.
There had been times where Anastasia would break down, and John was always there for her. He knew why, and of course as always, he understood.
Alan use to be her husband, they had children together, they had history.
And to have that all wiped out in a mere few years, it broke Anastasia.
From Alan confessing all the way to John being arrested, it took a lot out of her.But here she was, standing before John, the man who she never knew existed.
'So... How come saw you going into town to get groceries? I would've seen you a while ago'.
She was curious now and John couldn't help but laugh.
'Alright, so I usually get my food delivered, but the buisness didn't sell certain foods that I started to want, that was fine, ever since I left the house to get food well, I really enjoyed it'.
'Well, I'm glad that you came out when you did'.
John wrapped his arms around her tightly, 'I'm glad too... So what about the kids?'
Anastasia giggled, 'Andrew and Mina will be visiting', she looked up at John, 'I don't know about telling them'.'They deserve to know Anna, they'll find out eventually, but it's best if you tell them'.
John was right, Mina and Andrew were no longer kids, she could no longer shield them from the reality of the world.'
'Alright'.
She looked out to the balconey, only, it wasn't hers, it beloned to John.
She didn't expect her life to go down this track and although she hated how it went, she was happy with how it ended.
