Soft. Silky. White. My wedding dress was beautiful. With lace around the bottom and a silky top and skirt, beautiful designs around every corner. Violet walks in. She stops. Her mouth drops. As if something needed to be said but couldn't. She looked at me, Then the dress, then the room, then the bed. She began to cry. I couldn't quite make out what she was saying. But i'm sure it was something about how she has never seen someone so beautiful in a dress. Or about how large the room was.
My maid returned to help me with my vail. Up went my hair, down went the vail. As I walked down the aisle everyone starred at me. With compassion, and anger. I'm not sure but I think they were waiting to see my sister Maria. As if no one told them about the change between how is coming or not. I could see Samuel down the aisle. I have never really seen him before. I've seen paintings. But not him. He was a dissent person. As I walked further down the aisle he started to smile. I finally reached for his hands and grabbed them. " You may now kiss the bride." Were the last words I heard.
"Mademoiselle?" Said the king? " Are you alright?" " What happened" I asked quietly." You seemed to have fainted, But luckily, Samuel was there to catch you." I am glad he caught me. But also frightened. Samuel walks in, "Are you alright Genevieve?" "Yes." I said as polite as possible. He helped me up. I was a bit un balanced. Violet comes running in. " Oh no! Are you alright?" She looks so concerned. "Yes, Violet i'm alright." I say. "It is late Madame et monsieur. You should be in bed." I change and get into bed. As I doze off, I was wondering what tomorrow will bring me.
