Tonight was the night. The Christmas dance and the night I propose to carmen, my girlfriend since age 15. As the songs played, I searched for her. I eventually found her with Mira and they were playing cards against humanity. "Hey amor, can I talk to you?". "Sure babe, brb mira" she said, getting up. "Yes" she said in her angelic voice. "We've been together for 6 years and I think it's the right time for this." I said, slowly getting down on one knee. "Carmen Manuel Ramírez, will you be my wife?" "YES!!!!" She exclaimed. I didn't realize everyone was looking at us. Everyone cheered while we hugged each other. I put the ring on her finger and we danced the rest of the night away.

As the priest said his boring stuff, I waited for the "do you take her as your wife" part. He finally said it. "I do" "Carmen Ramírez, do you take camilo madrigal as your lawfully wedded husband through death and illness?" "I do" she said. "You may kiss the bride." I pulled her closer and we kissed. It was sweet and short but so worth it.
