How long has it been
Since everything went downhill?
Looking back now as I write
Who I was growing up,
I've lived exactly the opposite of who I wanted to become
No, life now isn't becoming light
But now all I'm yearning for is to set things right
How long has it been
Since I went downhill?
Spoiled, I have been
Told I was many a great things
Truth is I revel in mediocrity
And now all I can see; failure
How long has it been
Since it all went wrong?
But all hope is not lost; nothing ever is
As an ode to life, I live on
Written suicides of the soul now have long gone
For now I shall do what I've set to all these years
How long has it been
Since everything went downhill?
It matters not anymore
The tomorrow I yearned for comes today.
How long has it been
Since I realized that nothing is ever set in stone?
