Y/N knew Matt would be mad when they reached home. The feeling of trouble was in the air when he stepped out of the house. But what was Bucky doing here? She turned to Stephen, who was leaning over to unbuckle her seatbelt and saw his jaw clench. He might have read both their minds. And from the way anger radiated from him like heat radiating from a fire, it meant that whatever had happened or was going to happen isn't good. We both were in trouble.

She turned towards the window once again to see Matt frowning and tapping his foot while Bucky had a grin hanging from his ears. She didn't know why, but before she knew she was squeezing his hand gently, drifting his attention away from the two men. As soon as she realized what she had done, heat crept up her neck and her stomach a house to a thousand butterflies. Trying to ignore them, "What's wrong?" she asked although she doubted to get anything out of him.

Stephen immediately relaxed under her touch. "Don't worry, I've got this," he said, giving Y/N an assuring smile. He had dealt with people discovering their true nature at times. Won't be too hard to wipe Matt's memory off after putting James into place."Now, let's go."

"Will I get to see you again?" She asked before stepping out of the car. "As long as you want me," he assured, counting himself fortunate for her interest after knowing the truth. "Will you tell me later about this, I need to know what we are facing?" He nodded. "And," she added frantically, "don't tell Matt about the other man."

"I wasn't planning to say it either way," he replied much to her relief.

"Y/N!!" Matt's voice was aggravated. He stomped down the stairs and beyond, with Bucky in tow, meeting them halfway through the driveway. "In your bed now," he ordered. "And we need to talk," he said, turning to Stephen. "Sure," he replied calmly.

And that was three nights ago. Y/N neither saw nor heard from him since that night. Matt, on the other hand, tried to act like that night never happened. He refused to share with her what they discussed after she left. He treated her like he always had. Not exactly though, he was more vigilant about where she went and with whom she associated and talked.

When Rachael came home the morning after, she too wasn't of much help. Bucky had left earlier, in his wolf form while the rest of them returned by car. So even Jade and the rest of his family did not have any idea of what had conspired between the three men. Or they weren't willing to share it with her. Rachael and Jade were rather furious that she was alone with Stephen.

"Y/N," Anna's whining distracted her, "did you hear what I said?" She gave a look of disappointment. "Sorry, I-"

"What's wrong with you? You seem quite lost after that night with Dr Rochester?" Anna interrupted from her perch on the cottage railings. Though annoyed at first, her voice caught a mischievous octave as she spoke about Stephen. "Did he put some spell on you?"

"Nothing's wrong with me, it's-" A grey blur in the nearby tree cover cut her off mid-sentence. Wanda and Lila revealed themselves from the green veil. "I need... to go. See you later." Y/N said, gliding past her, away from the cottage.

"Is everything okay?" Anna caught Y/N in her iron fist. "Yes, I just need to talk with them." It took her a whole minute to scrutinize the figures before letting her go.

"Hey, where's Stephen?" she asked Wanda, hurrying across the road. Wanda and Lila exchanged a look of sorts before turning to her.

"So you don't know," Lila spoke disbelievingly.

"What am I supposed to know?"

"Bucky challenged Stephen for an 'Omega fight'. I thought Rachael had told you," Wanda said.
