-- Timeskip to 2 days later --
After Venti's untimely death, Xiao had been an emotional wreck. The one he loved was now gone, and truly unreachable. There were millions of stars between them, and the only way they would unite again was in the afterworld. But the world kept moving, and Xiao had to move on as well.
"Without Venti, what will I do now?" Xiao thought to himself.
He realized without Venti, the sun had stopped moving and the moon had reigned over his life. Without him, he was a wreck.
"I'll have to move on soon, but how? He was the only one who was there for me."
After his short contemplation, he headed back to Liyue harbor to pack up. He decided that even if Xiao was a wreck, he could start a new life of a person who wasn't a wreck. As Xiao started packing, Ganyu knocked on his door. He stared at the peephole and opened it a few seconds later.
"Xiao, why are you leaving Liyue? You know it's extremely dangerous over there in Inazuma," Ganyu worriedly said.
"Ganyu, why do you even bother? You probably don't care about me anyway," Xiao scoffed.
Ganyu said, "It's not like that! I'm just worried, Shenhe and the others are as well. Don't leave us, Xiao!"
"It's my life, leave me alone. Don't even bother visiting me in Inazuma either."
"O-okay, Xiao..."
After that, Xiao had started packing up his luggage and made a few calls to the ships at the harbor. While he scavenged his things, he picked up a picture.
It was a picture of him and Venti.
As his memories came back to him, the stern but tender-hearted Xiao was touched by it, so much his tears came rolling down.
"I miss you, Venti! Why did you leave me so early?" Xiao shouted to the sky.
There was no response.
After that, he decided to hurry to the harbor and board the boat. As the sailor paddled towards the thunderous skies before him, he took a moment to gaze at the moon-shot harbor before him. He knew he would miss the lanterns and lights, but he chose not to think about it.
Once he arrived in the harbor, the guards stopped him.
"HALT!"
A loud yell came from the angry guard.
"State your purpose of arrival in Inazuma."
"Well, I'm here for leisure purposes," Xiao lied.
His real reason was to escape his past, escape Venti, escape everything. He didn't want to remember his memories.
"Very well, enjoy your stay."
As Xiao had traversed towards Narukami, he gazed at all the beautiful fireworks ahead of him. He was excited to finally live a new life, and forget about his ugly past.
"Hey! What's your name, and why are you travelling to Narukami this late in the night?"
Xiao was confused, as he heard an unfamiliar voice from behind. As he turned around, he saw a blonde haired girl with all sorts of bandages around her.
"My name is Yoimiya, What's yours?" Yoimiya asked.
"Oh, My name is Ximin, Nice to meet you."
Xiao knew he had to keep a low profile, or else his entire trip would be useless.
"Here, let me hold your bags for you, Ximin. Now, what brings you to Konda village this late at night?" Yoimiya questioned.
"I'm moving to Narukami island, But I haven't found a place to stay yet," Xiao murmured.
"Well then, Ximin, Don't fret! You can stay at my family's house for the night, just be careful around here. The Yakuza have been quite active recently," Yoimiya mentioned.
"Yakuza...?"
"Don't worry, they're a bunch of elite bandits who live in Konda village," Yoimiya mentioned.
Unfrightened, Xiao scoffed. "Who do they think they are? What gives them the right to steal?"
"It's just how Inazuma works, we learn to live with it, Ximin."
Once they arrived in the shop, it was full of interesting items. However, Xiao was uninterested, and bought a stay at another Inn instead.
Even if the Inazuman life was growing on him, He didn't feel comfortable here. Despite the fact he missed Liyue, he felt empty, and had nowhere to go.
That very night, Xiao longed for Venti more than anyone.
As you can tell, he did the unthinkable. From a cliff, He plunged into the sea, waiting for his beloved Venti to come reach for him.
But he kept sinking, sinking, and sinking.
-
Nobody was going to save Xiao, as he fell to the fire of Hell.
