Céline - main character

Céline is 20 years old and is originally from Italy, she grew up in a city called Lucca, Italy. She has played football since she was 4 years old and got signed at Lille, France in 2019. In fall 2020 she got selected for the national team in Italy for the first time, they just had some friendly matches, and she did really well, and some bigger football clubs in Europe showed interest in signing her. Since she was little she has been a little devil fan so that Manchester United was interested in her was unbelievable for her, and obviously, she was super interested to go and play for Manchester United.

January 12th, 2021

(Céline's POV)

I just woke up, it's early in the morning, and me and my mom are going on a little trip to Manchester, so we can look at some houses I could move into since I'm moving to Manchester because I got a contract with Manchester United.

(Skip 2 hours)

We just landed at the international airport in Manchester, we only got hand luggage with us since it's a short trip, so we got out of the airport fast.

We got to our hotel in the center of Manchester, the time was 11:33 am. Today is the plan just to have fun and explore Manchester since it's the first time both of us are here. Tomorrow we are going to look at a lot of houses. We have scheduled an estate agent for the whole day, and he's going to show us different houses the whole day, hopefully, I'll find a house that I could visualize myself living in.

We got to central Manchester and we were both starving, so obviously we decided to get some food, so we actually could enjoy our time here. We are done eating and now the Manchester adventure could start.

Manchester is a neat city and I could definitely see myself be living here. I'll miss Lille but Manchester is good compensation. After a long day, we got back to the hotel, we decided to eat dinner in the restaurant at the hotel because both of us are really exhausted since we woke up early and we also have a long day in front of us tomorrow.

I know Manchester United has a home game tomorrow and I got invited to come and watch the game at the stadium, but I still don't know if I got time. But they usually stay at a hotel near the stadium the day before the game so they all can get in-game mode.

But never mind we went down to the restaurant and it looked really neat and we were actually excited to eat here. We both ordered some creamy pasta with truffle and some sparkling water. It was so delicious. Me and my mom were just chatting a little bit and at some point, our waiter came to our table and just told us "have a nice evening ladies", we were kinda confused since we haven't paid or anything, so we asked him what was going on. He pointed at a table on the other side of the restaurant, where a group of young guys was seated. They were probably in their 20's and he told us they paid for us.

We didn't know them and decided to walk over, so we at least could tell them thank you. We came to their table and I said "thank y'all, for paying for us, you don't have to and we would love to pay y'all back. But such nice gentlemens". They just told us "oh don't worry, hope y'all are having a fantastic evening in Manchester".

We left the restaurant and went to our room, I cleaned my face and got ready for bed, I was just going to watch a show on my laptop.

(Next morning)

My alarm went off at 8.30 am. I took a shower and got ready, and so did my mom. We were meeting up with the estate agent at 10.00 am. He came to pick us up in his car and then we just started out at the first house, all the houses were in really cool areas in Manchester. I'm getting paid much more in Manchester than what Lille is paying me, so I can get a really nice house because of my new contract.

After seeing 9 houses today I wanna think about what it's really the right one for me. I definitely have a favorite, but I still wanna wait till tomorrow to be sure that it's actually the right decision, since it's a lot of money and I need to be 100% sure.

We got done in time, so we went to Old Trafford to watch Manchester play. It was a champions league playoff game against atl. Madrid, it could be a tough game but, it would be amazing if they actually won the first time I was here at Old Trafford.

Me and my mom sat in the VIP lounge and we got dinner while we were watching the game. It was a really good game. Both teams played extremely well and it ended 2-2, it was sad that they didn't win but it was still such an amazing game, because there were lots of good chances and 4 goals too.

We went back to the hotel, tomorrow it's our last day in Manchester we're flying back late in the evening.

(Next day)

We woke up, got ready as usual. We packed all our stuff down in the suitcases again and took them with us. The agenda for today is that we have to be at the main office at Old Trafford so I can sign my contract, after that I have to buy the 5th house since I felt like that house and I was meant to be, I loved everything about it. And then we'll land in the airport and around midnight in Lille.

Everything went well, I signed everything with Manchester and the estate agent. In two weeks I'm moving to Manchester. It's crazy to think about but I'm super excited and can't wait to meet the team, and just play with such an amazing club as Manchester United.
