Dear Aurelia
By the time you will be reading this letter, I will no longer be there with you. I wrote this letter to you as a reminder, a reminder that you are fucking strong and one can stop or hold you back. I wrote this letter to you not only as your father but also as your teacher and the Don of the Italian and Spanish mafia. After my death our mafia will have a huge setback and our enemies will not leave this chance to attack. Twelve years ago when your mother died I took control and prevented it's downfall from the lack of a leader, and now this is your time tesero. I need you to take charge of the mafias. You are something that the world never expected. Many think that you being a girl makes you weak well what can I say except that they are in for a surprise.
Lia I personally trained you and I know that you are capable, I trust you. I know that taking care and leading two mafias will be difficult in the initial stage but give it sometime and take it one step at a time. Your Uncle and cousins are there to help you and you can always seek their guidance. Your skills are unmatched to any, your brain is sharp as a sword and most importantly you already have the respect of your sub-ordinates.
In all my years I have learned many things but the most important one among them is that if you want to achieve success don't look at your strongest member instead focus on your weakest group. And when you want to attack then don't attack the weakest first, instead use your strength on the strongest because once the pillars fall the floor can't keep the ceiling up.
Remember that in our business showing emotions to the outside world is a weakness but showing emotions to your family is trust. Our blood didn't make us family but the trust, respect and loyalty we have for each other made us family.
Lastly never ever deny yourself from something that makes you happy. If you are ever in a doubt then just close your eyes and listen to your heart because sometimes the heart is smarter than the brain. Having emotions and feelings doesn't mean that you are weak it is just your soul's way of telling you that you are still alive.

After reading the letter I didn't cry because I knew that Dad wouldn't have wanted that for one thing he always used to emphasize on was 'Don't cry for what to you lost but do smile for what you had', and that's what I will do. His memories do not deserve tears they only deserve happiness.
This letter filled me with will, the will to prove myself and my father's trust, the will to show the world a woman can do whatever she wants and no one will be able to stop her.

A/N- Maybe many will think that this letter had too much business talk for a last letter by a loved one but I would like to highlight that as mentioned in the first chapter, Aurelia had months of prior knowledge that her father was gonna die so the duo already had their fair share of sentimental conversations. This letter is sort of and encouragement and guidance by Vince (the dad) to Aurelia.
