"aye, what do you think about this one," Parker says, showing me yet another photo of his abs after working out this morning.
"It looks the same as the one you just showed me, Parker," I said with a smirk. Parker is my best friend. We grew up together, we even lived together for a few years. He's someone you can count on for anything. I trust him with my life, truly.
Parker shoved me off my bed playfully. "I was just telling the truth, but you do look good if that's what you want me to say," I said laughing. "I wanted you to say, you look so hot Parker but I guess that's good enough," Parker said with a cute smirk. "Yeah, it better be," I said shoving him off my bed this time.
We lost track of time, as usual. We argued and play fought for almost three hours. I'll always love Parker and I's relationship because we never run out of things to talk about. Ever. Even, when I had the flu and I physically couldn't talk. He stayed with me in the hospital for two days straight teaching me our language through blinking. I know it sounds crazy, but honestly, that's definitely in my top ten memories of us.
Now, it was around two a.m. and we still weren't tired at all, so we started researching about summer camps and finding the best ones around. We always wanted to go to summer camps, but we didn't come from rich parents or even middle-class parents. So, if we ever wanted something or needed it we had to come up with our plan to get it. That included stealing, lying, driving at the tender age of 6, trespassing, assault, drug dealing, and vandalism. But, we do what we need to do to eat.
We were prepared this time though. Our whole freshmen year consisted of us going from job to job. I wanted to go to the most prestigious summer camp ever so if this was our last experience at a summer camp it would be the greatest of all time. Parker didn't like the idea, because he knew something Melanie had never thought about. He knew that they wouldn't fit in with all the rich, white kids at the camp. He never told Mel about any of this, because he loved her too much to hurt her.
