Good Morning?

"I Can't believe it's been four years since I first laid my eyes on you to think we finally ended up here where it all began so tell me...."

PRRRT!! PRRRRRTTT!! Thump!!! A loud bang welcomed me on a very cold Monday morning. The floor felt oddly comfortable so I decided to sleep a bit more.

"DAMMIT MARCH GET UP YOU NO GOOD OF A SON!!" Winter or "Mom" barged in with a smirk on her face straight to my room to give me the daily slap she was known for but there's something else that seemed off. That slap felt nicer and softer than her regular Buddha's Palm wake up call it felt like a calming before a storm. Liked that metaphor you know.

By the way, why do people make up those metaphors? It's interesting to say the least and how randomly they compare one thing over the...

Before I could've finished that thought I got smacked again except this time it was with the papers she was holding. And I was surprised it felt like a winter storm was brewing and that paper was the start of constant hail of a very very bad week.

The contents of the paper included my name, information and some lousy objective saying.

"I will strive to be the best employee any company will ever see!"

The paper reminded me of a devils contract except this time I don't get anything yet I'm willing to sell my soul anyways. Then I heard the sentence that sounded like a gunshot when my step mother Winter said.

"Right you good for nothing. It's finally time you pay for your own meals and become independent, your 20 years old now yet you don't go to college nor do have any job experience." She was stating the obvious like she knows my life better than me. "But your lucky you have an amazing family who is friends with the owners across the street, Summer my best friend from Uni will take good care of you. She can nurture even the dumbest of people."

I told Winter, "I hate coffee so out of the millions of stores." And I swore I belted this sentenced like I was a pop singer, "WHY DID HAVE TO BE A COFFEE SHOP!!!" I Really thought I riffed the coffee part while I was screaming.

"Well you don't have a choice. get up get dressed and go!" Winter said as she was leaving my room.

I couldn't say no even though I wished I could, been a yes man all my life. So I took a shower and let my messy curly hair dry off and changed into my usual black outfit and headed straight to the store. It had full of vines in the sides and the sad sign outside in barely legible writing saying welcome. The store name is called Seasons Café. I laughed under my breath and thought about how the name probably came from the owner's own name. I went in then I heard a bell chime as I opened the door.
