"hey. would you like to, uhh, come over for a play date? "

"s-sure."

"okay, cool. see you at seven?"

"y-yea. see you."

i put down the phone and sighed.

you call me on the telephone, you feel so far away.

you tell me to come over, there's some games you want to play.

it's just a play date, nothing more.

i put on my coat, grabbed my things and headed out the door.

i'm walking to your house, nobody's home,

just me and you and you and me alone.

"oh hey."

"hi. i brought some board games."

"alright. come in."

i stepped in and gazed at the beautiful paintings hung all around the hallway in awe.

"what would you like to play first?"

"up to you."

we're just playing hide and seek,

it's getting hard to breathe under the sheets with you.
