Your POV

"..." "...!"
I think... I can hear someone talking... but it feels like I'm underwater..?
"...?" "..."
Where am I? I need to move, something. Roxy's in trouble! I-
"...Easy there, you're okay..." - ???
Grunting, I try to force my eyes open. 'WAKE UP'
"Ngh... Wha-.." my voice croaked. "Woah, easy there y/n. You need to rest." I looked up much to my eyes displeasure to face the voice, my Uncle.
Squinting my eyes they slowly adjusted as I looked around, finding myself in a hospital room?
"What happened..?" Groaning I propped myself up a bit. Looking at my uncle again, "There was an incident, you were attacked by Moon and Roxanne brought you to the daycare first aid station, alerting myself and an ambulance." He sadly smiled.
"Are they okay?" My head felt like it was pounding.
"The animatronics? They're... functional." He winced.

So they weren't okay.

"What happened? I only remember up to when Roxy was protecting me." I rubbed my head to ease the pain a bit, noticing a few bandages on my arms. "Well, Roxanne was pretty beat up. So she was taken to parts and service for repairs. Moon is still offline at the moment while I try to figure out what to do with him exactly, so the daycare will be attended to by some employees... and Monty... he's offline too." Uncle Paul scratched his head a bit, looking out the hospital window.

"..." I tapped my chin a few times trying to think, which hurt. But it was necessary. Roxy was being repaired, which is good. Moon's being kept offline, and at this rate they'll be decommissioned... I can't allow that, but why is Monty offline?
"Why is Monty offline? He was fine the last time we spoke." I glanced at my uncle.
"That's the thing... we don't know... it's like he's refusing to come back online!" He blurted out. "Sorry, n/n. It's just been a little bit stressful lately." He sighed.
"You're okay, just take a breather. With Moon, why don't you let me take a look at his programming? I'm sure his behaviour is just a result of an issue with that." I sighed. "Absolutely not!! You aren't cleared to come back to work for at least another 2-3 weeks, according to the doctor. You've been out for 2 days since your surgery, do you have any idea what's even happened to you?" He practically yelled, causing me to flinch.
"...no?" I gently whispered, slowly looking over myself.
"When Roxanne reported a major injury, the paramedics found you with a large gash on your left lower abdomen, two gashes on your cheek, three broken ribs, a fractured sternum and significant blood loss!" He grabbed his hair, sitting back in his seat beside me.
"..."
"You could have DIED y/n... and it was all because some IDIOT accidentally swapped the new box of lights with old broken ones instead..." he started to cry.
"You're all I have left, sweetie... I'm so sorry..."
With a sigh I gave him a quick hug.

"You know it wouldn't have happened if there wasn't a problem with Moon, he hasn't been undergoing maintenance like the other animatronics... if you could just let me work on his coding at least while I'm confined to a hospital bed. I'm sure I'd be able to fix it." I smiled, earning a weak smile from him too.
"Alright alright, you win, pumpkin. I'll download a copy of his programming and bring it back to you. Promise me you won't overwork yourself." He sternly held out his pinky...
"Yessir!" I grinned, returning the promise.

- 1:32pm -

Luckily Uncle Paul returned rather quickly with a hard drive and my trusty laptop, before he needed to head back off to handle some 'customer issues'

Turning on my laptop I plugged in the hard drive and began my dive down the rabbit hole. Browsing through Moon's AI was a little exciting! It's been a long time since I did any programming...
While I was sifting through, I noticed a strange... piece of coding. It didn't match the rest of it, it looked foreign.
But as I tried to look further into it, it wouldn't let me. So I decided it was probably some kind of glitch or a bug of sorts. Probably from some silly technician during his first check up.
