ROZE's POV
She stared at the window with the opened curtains, showing the beautiful view of snow landing on pathways and anything they could sleep on. She stood up from her spot staring at nothingness and went down to the kitchen.
Waking up at exactly 5 AM although mentally exhausted, she was able to finish her workout routine in her gym until 6:45 AM. After showering and soothing her sore muscles, as it was the weekends, she changed to her comfortable attire for the day.
Now at 8:15 AM, deciding to try the tea pack her mother made for her during her stay at the main house recently. She would make coffee on work days and tea on the weekends and her day offs. Whilst the tea brewed, a knock brought her eyes to the front door. Knowing who it was, she opened the door revealing her two sisters.
The triplets often visited each other and would visit their relatives either from the country side or abroad. The most peaceful and relaxing time were retiring to their bed at their respective house.
The sisters hugged after greeting one another. "I brought some of mother's spicy chicken soup with variety of fried foods or mostly fried seaweed rolls" Noel, the youngest of the three, spoke as she placed the glass kitchenware on the kitchen island. "They made it this morning and had us to come over to get it" Joylyn, the second oldest, spoke after putting away their coats to the clothe hanger by the guest room.
"Let's set the table first" Roze then took out plates and tea mugs from the cabinet and set it up for the three of them. "Let me reheat them up for a bit" as she put the food onto the frying pan. The sizzling sound died down after reheating it for a minute.
Joylyn helped her by putting them onto different bowl and plates. Noel stood by the sink to help washing the dishes. Soon after, the triplets began digging their food.
"Jace told us to be ready by 1 PM about your engagement discussion, Vi" Noel said after finishing her tea. "I heard" Roze replied as she continued eating her portion.
"Should we make castella ?" Joylyn looked at Roze knowingly as she changed the topic. "But this time with chocolate and marshmallows" She suggested.
"How about hot chrysanthemum tea as well with-" Noel was about to add another but was interrupted by Roze who was rubbing her temple as she groaned out of pain.
"Vi ?" they asked, worried expression on their face. "Water..." Roze breathed out. Joylyn quickly grabbed a small water bottle from the drinks section and carefully gave it to her.
"Forgive me, I overworked last night without knowing it was already past 2, so do not worry" Roze told
"Vi, please don't be too hard on yourself. Didn't we-"
"I will be alright, J" Roze assured them after she drank the headache relief pills.
"No" Joylyn sternly said though concerned. "There will be no lies, Vi". Roze sighed knowing it was pointless to lie to them even if she tried.
"I shall never worry my family over a trivial thing" Roze shook her head when she saw them frowning.
"Vi-"
"Let me do this myself" Roze insisted.
"You swear to tell us if there's anything, please" Joylyn said to Roze who hasn't responded to her. "Vi" Roze nodded. "I will try. Let's finish up our food now". Joylyn and Noel sighed knowing they could not get through her this time ever since that day.

Breakfast was over.
Joylyn and Noel went back to their chambers after making their plans for today. Glancing at the clock, it was at 9:30 AM. Her plan was to get some rest after doing her paperwork before the lunch appointment. She sighed.
She poured another of the homemade tea into her mug after brewing it once more. Moving towards her study room, she took some of the files she needed to get work done. Application forms of trainees, educations, courses, allowance and etcetera. As the head of management, she would have to update and give feedbacks to each heads while also helping them to appoint.
As time passed, Roze managed to finish the reports of paperwork leaving her with only 2 more files to complete. She hung her head back, tired. A little nap would be good, she thought. A phone ring interrupted the peaceful silence she engulfed herself in.
Releasing an annoyed sigh, she answered the phone.
"Yes ?"
"Vi, how are you doing ?"
"I'm fine. I have completed some work just now"
"You do know you have to take breaks. It is your day off, at least rest. You have been drowning in work and not having breaks in between. You will only rest if one of us forced you to"
"Lena, I-what is it that you called me for ?"
"Just a reminder and I'm sure you know why"
"Yes"
"Then, see you there, Vi"
"You too"
Waiting for the other line to hang up, she set up an alarm for 12 PM. Laying her head on her arms, she tried to convince herself that it was for the best. Though hesitant at first, she eventually agreed on the engagement made by her grandparents almost a year ago.
She really did hope for the darkness she often dwell in, to disappear when she made the choice.
