Chapter 4

Ben's Pov

I sigh, as I keep gazing outside from the balcony, in my room.

My mind keep thinking about that girl.

She looked so innocent, fragile. The sudden urge of me protecting her.

I sigh.

This is nonsense, I met her just once and for few seconds. Just stop thinking about it.

My door bursts open. I look and see Zach with two demons.

"They are a mess, since that interview" He says, handing me both of them.

It's night and both River and Ryder are being stubborn as hell. They are not eating, crying, their eyes searching for someone.

Conor told us that he hired the nanny and both the kids are so intruded by her that they've now became crazy.

At first, it surprised me. How can my two little demons be like this? That girl mus be special.

"I got her address, she's not picking up her phone so I'm going to her house." He says. I nod.

Only she can control them for now.

He gives them a kiss on the forehead and walks out.

I look at my babies, who look like they're about to cry.

"Don't worry buddies, she's coming" i say, as if they will understand me.

What the hell is even happening?!

Angelina's pov

"Give it to me I'm worth it, baby I'm worth it. Ah huh I'm worth it" I sing, swaying my hips, while cooking dinner.

Today has been a hectic day and fluffy got a earnful from me, after that he was all sulky, so I decided to cheer him up. I made his favourite dish, included some dog food and gave it to him. After that, now we're having a dance party, where I'm dancing and he's only watching me.

Suddenly I hear pounding on the door. I stop what I was doing and frown.

Who would be at the door, at this hour?

I stop playing the music and move toward the door.

And congratulations I don't have a peephole.

So I just open the door, with fluffy full alert toward the stranger.

As I open the door, I see a strange man standing at the door. Seeing me, he freeze like ice.

He is handsome, damn handsome.

"Yes, how can I help you?" I ask.

"Hello, I'm Zach Rodrigues" he says.

My eyes widen.

HE'S MY BOSS.

WHY THE HELL I'M ONLY IN ONE SHIRT AND SHORT!?

I clear my throat to bring my should back into my body.

"Oh" is all I say.

"Actually, River and Ryder are a mess, since you've gone, they are being demons and it's difficult for us to handle them, so if you can come with me and make them sleep" he says.

My mind pauses.

"Uhhh"

"You can go, I swear. They've been like this, since meeting you. Please help" he says.

Is he pleading or blaming me?

"Ok, fine. Can I change?" I ask.

"Sure" he says.

"Please till then come inside and make yourself comfortable" I say as he enters and Fluffy growls.

"Fluff, he's a guest" i say glaring at him and then smile at my...boss, I guess.

I quickly go inside my room and get ready.

Why do they need me at his hour?

I mean they are their father, so they should know how to handle them.

Anyways, I sigh. I'm craving something sweet now.

I move out, only to see fluffy with Mr Rodrigues, pulling his pants.

"Hey, shoo, no buddy" he is saying but fluffy is not responding.

"Fluff, no" i say and he stops immediately.

I take my keys.

"Let's go" i say.

As I was going, Fluff starts to whine.

"I'll come back in no time" i say.

But then he shows his puppy dog eyes.

I try not to look in those eyes.

"No, fluff..NO" I say.

He starts to cry.

"Umm..we can take him with us" Mr. Rodrigues says.

I sigh. It was geting difficult for me anyway.

"Ok" I say.

I take out his leash and seeing his leash, he jumps.

I giggle.

"Yes, we're going" I say.

I tie his leash.

"Let's get going" I say and we proceed.

Zach's pov

What the hell is happening to me?

Why Am I so concerned about this girl, i just met?

We are now sitting in the car. My hand tightening around the steering wheel.

"So, what do you do?" I ask, trying to make some conversation.

She looks at me.

"I'm a writer" she says.

"Oh, so have you published any books?" I ask.

"Yes, I have written many, but my only one book was published" she says.

"Oh" I say.

Writing must be a tough job.

"You live alone?" I ask and th suddenly regret, seeing her expressions.

"Yes, I do" she says and then starts to pat her dog, who is now sitting on her lap.

The whole ride, I drive silently.

As we reach our house. I open the door.

"If the kids any trouble you, please tell us" I say and she nods.

"Oh you are back" Conor says, his eyes shining, seeing her.

I frown.

What's with the shining?

"Come on, the little ones were desperate for you to come" He says.

We move toward Ben's room.

As I knock.

I hear a small 'yes'.

We three enter.
