- With Symphony -

"Mom, Dad.. I have something to tell you guys.", Symphony says at at the dinner table with Elijah and Angel.

"Okay, what's up?", Angel asks.

"I don't know how y'all are gonna take this, but I can't hide this from you anymore.", Symphony says shakily.

"Symp, it's okay. I'm sure we can handle whatever you're about to tell us.", Elijah says.

"Okay.", Symphony says taking a deep breath. "I'm gay. I'm gay and I have a girlfriend, her name is Morgan. We've been together for over a year and I love her so much. I know this isn't something that's easily accepted, but I can't help who I love. I love y'all more than anything and the last thing I want it's to disappoint you guys, but this is who I am.", she says as Angel and Elijah stare at her with blank expressions on their faces.

"Symphony, I'm sure your mother can agree when I say that I'm happy that you built up the courage to come out to us and that we love you no matter what.. but we already knew.", Elijah says.

"Wait, what?", Symphony asks raising her eyebrow.

"Yeah, the closet door was see-through, baby.", Angel says making all three of them laugh. "I could tell when you brought home that one boy, was it your junior year? When he never came back and you never brought up another boy to me again, I knew. Plus you literally took a girl to your senior prom and thought your father and I didn't notice that she wasn't "just your friend". We knew."

"Y'all had me shaking in my boots telling y'all this, whole time y'all already knew.", Symphony chuckles. "I'm glad that y'all you know, accept me and still love me for me."

"Of course. You're our baby, we're proud of you and we love you so so much.", Elijah says.

"I love you guys too.", Symphony smiles.

"Now, tells us about this girlfriend of yours. Her name's Morgan?", Angel says.

"Yeah.", Symphony smiles taking out her phone to show them a picture. "I met her last year in my intro to law class, she's why I always said it was my favorite class.", she chuckles.

"Wow, she's gorgeous.", Angel says holding her phone. "Look at her, babe."

"She is. You've gotta bring her home sometime, just seeing your face when you talk about her tells me she really makes you happy.", Elijah says.

"She does, Dad. She really does.", Symphony smiles.

- Back with Amore and Cameron -

"You busy tomorrow?", Cameron asks wrapping his arms around Amore's waist as they talk at the door.

"I have some homework to do and my mom and I are going shopping, but I should be free around like 5 or 6.", Amore says messing with his chain.

"That's actually perfect. I'm taking you out, so just text me when you're back and ready to go.", he says.

"Will do. Call me when you make it home, okay?", she says wrapping her arms around his neck.

"I will, I'll see you tomorrow. Good night.", he says holding her chin.

"Good night.", she smiles, leaning up and kissing him. "Be safe driving."

"I will.", he smiles, pecking her lips a couple times before walking to his car.

- With Kaiden -

"Nah, I haven't thought about it Bri.", Kaiden says as Brianna braids his hair.

"Well you should be thinking about it, babe. I know it's only the beginning of our senior year, but you gotta figure out because this year is gonna go faster than you think.", Brianna says starting on another braid.

"I know, and I will. I've honestly heard enough about this from my parents, so can we please drop it for now?", he asks.

"Yeah.. Yeah, we can drop it.", she nods. "I'm sorry if you feel like I'm bugging you."

"You're not bugging me babe, it's just something I need to think about on my own.. without the pressure of those around me.", he stresses.

"I get it, I do. I just want to make sure that we're on the same page you know, regarding our future.", she says.

"No matter what happens, we gone be straight. We've been in each other's lives since we were toddlers, ain't shit stopping. You hear me?", he asks looking at her through the mirror.

"Mhm.", she nods.

"Alright, come here.", he says as she leans down and kisses him. "I love you."

"I love you too.", she says as she begins to braid his hair again.

"My baby!", August exclaims excitedly when he sees Symphony.

"Uncle Aug, I missed you!", Symphony says engulfing him in a big hug.

"I missed you too. How's school?", he asks hugging her back and pulling away as they make their way to the couch.

"School's been great. Classes been going good, and I uh.. met someone.", she says sitting down.

"For real? Who's the lucky guy?", he asks sitting down next to her.

"Girl.", she says.

"Huh?", he asks raising his eyebrow.

"It's who's the lucky girl.. I'm gay.", she says.

"Oh.. okay, so let's see her.", he smiles.

"Okay, her name is Morgan.", she says taking out her phone and showing him her lock screen.

"She's gorgeous, wow! What's her skin care routine?", he says jokingly handing her phone back to her.

"Man you are the king of clear skin, get outta here.", she chuckles.

"Shit, you right.", he says cockily.

"Okay, not too much now Unc.", she chuckles.

"Nah, but seriously, the next time you come home, bring her so we can all meet her.", he says.

"I'm sure she'd be down for that, it's not like she ain't been begging me to bring her around y'all. I talk about y'all to her all the time.", she smiles.

"You better be giving me a good rep.", he says.

"She's actually looking forward to meeting you and Auntie the most, besides my parents. So what that tell you?", she asks.

"So you been talking good about usss? This why you my baby.", he smiles hugging her.

I finished my first year of college back in May, and to say that it was hard is an understatement, but after the summer I've had, it's time for me to get back into the groove of writing so I'm gonna try (emphasis on try) to get back to writing regularly.
