I haven't written anything since May of 2021. To say "things happened" would be quite an understatement as I have watched my life flip upside down just to place me where I always needed to be to begin with. Sometimes you need to be displaced in pain for a while to be be placed where God wants you to be, at least that is my new found theory.
We are a product of our own decisions and no matter what mode of spirituality you may subscribe to, if any, this principle is universal. Time is a friend of no man and if you think for a second that you have "time" to eventually accomplish that which you have in your mind, the truth is you don't necessarily know that. The completion of what is in your mind to do will only be accomplished with the small consistent decisions towards that said thing.
Nothing is more painful than the pain of regret and I have been reflecting much on how my "fun" in my younger years has contributed to the pain and setbacks of my early adulthood. Of course I take full responsibility for this, but if I could tell my teenage self one thing, it would be to not destroy your future while having fun in your present. Gratefully God has had grace on my life and has given me another shot at tapping into my greatness, but this time with much more wisdom, much more lessons learned and much more understanding of what it is I want.
The dreams, visions, and ambitions in your mind are not there for no reason. That is how the higher being speaks to you about your plan and place in this world. Your duty is to make decisions and steps towards that. Yes, it will be hard, life is hard, nothing worth having is easy and we must remember that the top of each mountain we climb is the bottom of another. Having this in mind we must urge ourselves to be progressive. Unfortunately, we have normalized toxic progression which doesn't include rest. Rest is a fundamental principle that every person needs to get a hold of. Rest will give you the peace you need to stay remotely sane in this world. Remember that we all have the same 24 hours in the day so use them wisely. May we create habits that will give us a better life, and always make small decisions towards that which you desire. No matter the setback, learn the lesson and have a greater comeback.
Be Peace.
