Elora's POV:

"Hey. You're Professor Snape's daughter, right?"

I turned my head toward the other student and realized it was Harry Potter who was talking to me. I nodded my head in response,

"Mhm, my name's Elora."

"I'm Harry. Harry Potter."

At this, I smiled and responded,

"Nice to meet you!"

He shook the hand I'd extended out towards him and returned the smile,

"Most people usually say I know instead of a greeting. Thanks for that."

"No problem! You must get tired of it." I replied.

"And you too, being that your parents are both Professors here." At his words, I chuckled,

"Yeah, that's true."

Our initial small talk led to me being introduced to two of his friends I'd heard a bit about from (B/N) and Draco. Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.

"You're really nice for a Slytherin."

"Ronald! You don't just say things like that to people!" I watched Hermione elbow Ron very hard, to which he clutched his rib cage and winced.

"It's ok. Slytherin has a bad wrap. But I hope to change that someday." Just as I finished up my sentence, I felt a hand on my shoulder.

It was Draco's.

"What're you doing talking to these three?" He was clearly disappointed.

I'd heard things about the three Gryffindor's from him, but initially, the way he spoke about them made me think he was jealous or trying to make them sound worse than they were, so I didn't really think much of it. But now, I didn't see why he found them so bad,

"They're nice, Draco."

"Tch.. sure. C'mon. We're going to the Common Room now." He shuffled me out the door whilst side eyeing them.

I saw the three of them looking confused and slightly frustrated as we left. Though I looked away the moment I heard (B/N) catch up to us,

"How's my favorite niece doing?"

I laughed,

"I'm your only niece, (B/N)!"

He shrugged and peered over at Draco who was clearly still thinking about our interaction with the trio,

"What're you so tense for?"

Draco rolled his eyes,

"El was talking with Potter, Granger, and Weasley."

"And..?" Draco looked baffled at (B/N)'s remark,

"And!? They're our mortal enemies!"

"Maybe they're yours, but they're not mine." I butt in as we were descending the spiral staircase into the dungeons.

"You'll soon see El that Potter and his posse are not worth your time. They may seem perfect to others, but all they do is get in my way!" He was definitely not going to calm down by continuing this topic, so I switched it.
