~Hogwarts - September 2nd - Tuesday Morning~

Elora's POV:

I noticed that I'd woken up relatively early the next morning, being that the sun hadn't risen yet, and decided that this would be the perfect time to go outside for a little walk. Rummaging through my suitcase, I pulled out the beanie and scarf my parents had gifted me, only to notice that they'd turned a deep shade of green. Smiling, I threw the scarf around my neck and pulled the beanie on before stepping into my shoes and pulling my jacket off it's hook. I made sure to be as quiet as possible when opening and closing the door.

The air was refreshing and the smell of damp grass mixed with the feeling of the cold fog was something I'd never get tired of.

Reminiscing about what might happen during my first year of school here, I remembered a rule my parents had told me about.

That first years can't bring their own broomstick.

It saddened me that I couldn't just go and take a quick fly around the school grounds, but at the same time, it made me more excited to attend flying class.

"Elora.. Elora. Elora!" I was pulled from my thoughts by a particularly loud individual.

It was Lanza.

"Hello Lanza! What're you doing up early?" I asked her as she matched my walking pace.

"Dunno. I just am. And you?" She threw the question back at me.

"Same thing. I also just really like the fog." She giggled at this.

We began talking about quidditch and which position we'd prefer to play until the sun had just barely risen above the horizon. At this point, we decided to head in for breakfast and compare class schedules. Our tables were right next to each other, so we just faced each other and compared before it became too full.

Surprisingly, we had half of our classes together. Those being Flying, Herbology, Astronomy, and Defense Against the Dark Arts class. The ones I didn't have with her were Transfiguration, History of Magic, Charms, and Potions.

Elora's Schedule:

Session 1: Session 2:

Herbology Flying

Transfiguration D.A.D.A

Lunch Lunch

Charms Potions

History of Magic Astronomy

(Session 1 and 2 switch off every day and Astronomy is at night)

"Aw.. I really wanted to be partners in Potions..." I sighed, somewhat dissatisfied with the difference in schedules.

"Well, at least we have Flying class together. That's most important to me anyways." What Lanza said cheered me up a bit.

We were then interrupted by Draco who had sat himself down next to me at the table with (B/N) on his other side. Lanza had faced back towards her food, so I did the same, placing a pancake or two on my plate.

"Draco, (B/N)? How many classes do you both share this year?" I asked them curiously.

After having downed a glass of orange juice, (B/N) pulled his schedule out and took Draco's out of his back pocket as well, which Draco glared at him for momentarily.

Draco's and (B/N)'s Schedule:

Session 1: Session 2:

History of Magic Herbology

Potions Charms

Lunch Lunch

D.A.D.A. Transfiguration

Arithmancy Care of Mag. Cr.

Astronomy

"Oh wow! You share all the same classes!? Lucky..." I pouted upon seeing their matching schedules.

Though it does make sense, being that they're in the same house and chose the same electives.

"I wouldn't say I'm all that lucky, El. Now I'm stuck with this twerp all year.." Draco smacked (B/N) upside the head in a joking manner.

"Rude!" (B/N) chuckled but fought back with a jab to Draco's side.

This would've gone back and forth many times had my mother not walked by at that exact moment to push the two of them apart.

"I suggest you both eat rather than bicker the entire time. Breakfast is almost over." She said this in the form of a kind warning and smiled at me before returning to the head table where my father was sat.

Breakfast had come to an end rather quickly, which meant Lanza and I had Herbology class first. We scurried out of the Hall as quickly as we could and walked in the direction of the Greenhouses, talking and joking on the way there.

The day passed rather quickly. With an exception in History of Magic. That class was a complete bore.

Luckily it was now over and I could run down to the dungeons to see my parents.

Knowing that no one would be in the room anymore, I called out to them upon entering the Potions Classroom door,

"Mama, Papa!"

They turned their heads in my direction, my father looking a bit startled by my sudden appearance.

"How was your day, Elora?" My mother met me half way and hugged me tightly.

"It was great! I have a lot of classes with my new friend!" I was eager to explain this to them and sat down at my father's desk next to my mother.

"Who's your friend?" My father asked me.

"Lanza. And guess what?" My mother gestured for me to reveal whatever it was I was so ecstatic about.

"Lanza is Lucas and Alex's daughter!" I blurted out.

They looked surprised.

"I didn't know that. Maybe it's about time we meet up with them again to catch up." My mother smiled and pat my back lightly.

"Oh yes! That would be fun." Smiling, I stood up from my seat,

"I think I'm going to go meet up with (B/N) and Draco now though. I promised them I'd play chess."

"Alright then. But be in the common room by eight please!" My mother called out behind me.

I responded with a loud okay and zipped off towards the Great Hall.
