Chapter 2. Who are you?

You woke up to feeling a gush of air to your right by the window creak you left open, allowing a bit of cold breeze to enter the room. Almost blinded by the white snow that filled the ground of shinganshina, you close your blinds and look around your hotel room.

Remembering your scheduled time to meet up with four Survey Corps members, you quickly rose up to begin the day.

You took a quick shower before getting dressed in collared white dress shirt, along with black pants and a belt. Taking your boots from under the bed you tie them on each foot.

Tugging your necklace you always have on, it was a simple necklace with a single small pearl in the center you were ready to go.

Hurrying along, you took your small pocket of essentials as you walk out the room. There was no one seen near the receptionist desk, so you decided to simply leave the key there.

Unfortunately, keeping it somewhere safe was not your first priority.

Rushing your way to the meet, you arrived near the front doors of Wall Sina.

The snow crunching each step you took closer to the officers, they were chatting as their cheeks glowed red from drinking on the job.

"I am here to drop off a paper I was told to leave here by Cadets Petra and Miche."

One of the officers nods, "(y/n)..right?" He asks, his voice a bit shaky from the alcohol. "Yes" you say, trying to get him moving a bit faster. "Alright I'll take it here", the officer says extending his arm out, prompting you to give him the paper. You slide it out of your bag and hand it to him, he looks at if for a moment.

You were ordered to go to Capital once again, this is where you were going to get picked up by a few cadets. The way there wasn't too rough, with occasional people yelling in your ear about how you're sinning with every step you take.

Taking a step inside Capital, you looked around; it was a big room filled with big halls. You decide to sit on a chair you found nearby the door, you were told to wait there until someone shows up.

It was now 6:25AM, you continued to wait for a few minutes, the halls were silent and empty. You'd be able to hear everything if there were a conversation, when you entered your steps echoed throughout the hall.

Breaking the silence, you hear murmuring coming from outside the door.

A soldier with red hair bursted inside looking around until he spotted you sitting on the chair. He stares at you for a moment, that was until you glanced back, he cleared his throat when he felt a smidge of blush come across his face.

"You must be (y/n)?" He asked, you stood up from the chair,

"I am" you say.

"Good to meet you, me and a few others are here to pick you up and take you to Survey Corps HQ, I'm sure you know" You nod, he opens the door behind him, suggesting you to follow him which you did.

The two of you walked to a wagon with two horses tied to it, a carriage if you will, but not exactly that fancy looking. You saw 3 shadows sitting in the wagon, waiting patiently for their comrade's return. Eventually, both of you stood in front of the wagon.

"Everyone, this is (y/n) who came all the way from Eldia." He said introducing you to everyone sitting inside. They welcomed you along, with of course many judgemental faces hidden behind their smiles.
Usually, they weren't fond of the few immigrants who came from Marley or Eldia since they weren't exactly best friends in the past.
