It was Cruella's birthday, and Jasper had a plan. Cruella and Jasper had been dating for a few months and usually Jasper would wait a few years to propose, But they had known each other for 10 years, and Jasper was confident they were both enjoying sharing their love to each other. Whether it was evening snuggles and kisses, Or holding hands and going on small dates. They had been spending more time with each other and Cruella was always smiling and every day she would always try to snuggle with him at least once. Artie had often come up to them and talked to them about how incredibly cute their relationship was. Cruella always blushed when he said that. Cruella and Jasper began sleeping with each other a few days after they asked each other out.  At first it was because Cruella got bad nightmares and Jasper was having trouble getting used to how big the house was and felt lonely at night. The first few nights of them sleeping together was very awkward, but now that it was a few months later, they always cuddled in all nights and all mornings. Jasper always made sure that Cruella woke up in his arms and she always woke up, smiled at him and kissed him on the head. After the problem with The Baroness,  Jasper had noticed that Cruella seemed depressed, and he had also noticed she also seemed happier now that they were dating, which was good for everyone. Life was great and Jasper had decided that it was time to propose to the one he loved.

Cruella , For quite some time had been planning to have a fashion show, She wanted it to be like the first fashion show that the baroness threw for her to see. Cruella would arrive on a swing, wearing a huge dress, but instead of being Marie Antoinette style, she would wear a gothic version of queen Elizabeth's style. All of her models would be wearing dresses that seems that they had been destroyed, then repaired into a new design. Cruella was hoping that the designs that she made would spread her message. Her message was that although everything happened with The Baroness, Cruella was going to fix the past and change fashion forever. She would begin by doing what The Baroness did, then quickly change it all. Jasper thought that this was a beautiful idea. 

Cruella liked getting attention at parties, though Jasper also knew she wouldn't want to be seen getting emotional about a proposal, Therefore Jasper planned that when the fashion show was dying down for the evening and Cruella was happy with her fashion show and how she had done, Jasper would make sure she ended up in a room with her, him, and Horace and Artie filming the proposal secretly. Therefor Jasper wouldn't make Cruella emotional in front of everyone, but still propose to her while she was doing what she loved. In his mind, it was the perfect plan.

When Jasper told Artie and Horace his plan, Artie broke down in tears of joy. '"AWWW YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO BE EVEN CUTER NOW!!!" and Horace just stood there very confused. Turns out Horace hadn't even realised that they were dating. He was surprised for some reason, considering he had seen them cuddling so many times before and holding hands. But that was just Horace being Horace. Once Jasper calmed Horace down, they began planning how they would get Cruella in a room with just her and the people who were close to her. Artie decided that he should talk to her about marriage before the proposal, but in a way that she wouldn't suspect anything.

It was the day before Cruella's fashion show, Jasper and Cruella were lying in bed, sleeping. Jasper, as usual, woke up first. He looked at Cruella, sleeping so peacefully besides him. Cruella is a noisy sleeper, snoring sometimes, grunting and sleep talking. That particular morning she started sleep talking :

"Jasper the cake is too spicy." she mumbled, jasper suppressing a laugh edged towards her, careful not to wake her up. "Jasper.....My underpants....the ceiling" Cruella mumbled again. Jasper smiled, he was giggling a little until Cruella started yelling "No!" and "Please don't" and Jasper decided that it was time to wake her up, He gently pulled her towards him and held her in his arms, He gently yet firmly kissed her on the head and whispered her name so that she would wake up. After a moment, Cruella's eyes flitted open and immediately darted to Jasper's eyes. "OH JASPER!" she yelled and threw herself onto him and hugged him tight "Oh I am so glad to see you I just had the most FRIGHTFUL dream" Cruella buried her face in his chest "Oh I know you were sleep talking" Cruella snivelled. "What did I say" Cruella whispered, "Well first you were talking about you complaining to me that the cake was spicy and that I think your underpants were on the ceiling, But then you started yelling "No!" and "Please don't" so I woke you up. Cruella looked up at him "I love you" she said , Tears streaming down her face. "Awww my bean, what happened?" "I was arguing with you about spicy cake, and then somehow my underpants were caught on the ceiling" "where we..." "Yes" Cruella said, blushing. "Well anyway we did that AND THEN YOU SUDDENLY JUMPED OFF THE BALCONY!" Cruella bawled, clearly having some sort of trauma issue from all the people falling off high places "And the last thing we talked about was us talking about A STUPID FUCKING SPICY CAKE waaaaaaa" Cruella shook in his arms, Jasper, unsure of what to do rubbed her back "AND of COURSE you jumped off the roof! We've been so wrapped up in my emotions, HOW ABOUT YOU? I treated you like SHIT and suddenly your all loving are you ok? Seriously answer me. " "I am getting by, thanks for asking. But don't worry about that stuff, This dream you had, it was some sort of stress dream. I think it's time you should get some professional help." "BUT I AM NOT WEAK!" "I never said you were, you need some help, that's all. You have been through a lot lately and it has begun to trouble you in your sleep. I love you very much and care deeply about you and I want the best for you." Jasper hugged her and rubbed her back until she muttered "fine" and he pulled her chin up and kissed her. Her face was unusually warm but he felt her relax in his arms. Jasper stroked her cheek and wiped her tears away. "It was just a dream. I am right hear with you, and you shouldn't worry about me, I am fine, and if I am not I will talk to you because you are technically my girlfriend and one of my best friend and we can talk about this. But for now I am going to hug you and tell you that everything is going to be ok." They snuggled for awhile. Jasper decided to get his book and read her a page, Cruella did some drawing and they sat in bed, snuggled against each other. "Jasper?" Cruella asked, "Yeah?" "I was wondering, what is your opinion on marriage? Because personally I don't like the sound of it." Jasper's heart stopped. Cruella didn't want to marry him. "I....why" "Because, I don't like how the whole thing of marriage is just signing papers and then everyone expecting you to calm down and be sensible and have kids. I mean I don't know about kids because I know YOU want them but that isn't the point of this. I don't want to calm down. Marriage seems like the end of a woman's life" "But Cru, I know there are a lot of stereotypes about marriage, but to me it's about more than just a signature on a paper. Marriage is about a lifelong promise of love to each other. I know we shouldn't have to prove our love but it's also about certainty. It most certainly isn't just writing our names on a piece of paper." Jasper said, "But I don't like the stereotypes!" "so prove them wrong! If anyone can change stereotypes it's you!" "sounds like you want to get married" this sentence silenced jasper for a moment. "I'm...um..well i'm just discussing with you whether or not marriage is necessarily a bad thing, which it isn't. " "I guess..." Jasper was pleased, at least he had convinced her a little that marriage is ok. But now he was also extremely worried. He wanted so badly to marry her but now he was worried that she wouldn't say yes. It was all up to Artie to convince her now.
