Is it Worth it [Nalu Fanfic]

Chapter 13

Here's the next chapter. Hope you like it.

It's been about two days since I've last been with Natsu or even seen him. We've still kept in contact, but it's just not the same.

My mom grounded me because I was what she called missing since the dance till Saturday evening. Well I guess I can't blame her.

Today's Monday and suprisingly, I didn't have school today, but I do have this huge test tommorow that I'm pretty sure I'm gonna fail.

I can't seem to memorize any on these flashcards. Levy told me that the easiest way to study was using flashcards, but for me it's difficult.

I don't even understand why I need to know this. I plopped my head on the hard wooden desk, just resting it thier.

I was so tired and I wanted to go to sleep. "Beeep" I looked over at my phone to see a message from Natsu.

Ok so now I'm happy. He always seems to brighten up my mood.

Natsu- whacha doing Luce?

Me- nothing really. Just having a hard time studying for the test tommorow.

Natsu- want to come over and study with me? I'll definitely be able to help.

Me- I can't, I'm grounded. Remember?

Natsu- well I'll just come over. Your mom won't resist me.

Me- yeah you just keep telling yourself that. Well sure I guess but I can't garentee thy she'll let you in.

Natsu- be there in a few.

I hope he'll be able to get in. I really want to see him. I set my phone aside and stared at my flashcards mentally trying to picture what the answer was, but failed majorly.

I picked up my pencil and started to jot down what I had already memorized, which was a small percentage.

"LUCY!" I heard my mother's voice ecco through the hallways into my room. "NATSU'S HERE!" She screamed again.

I hurried and stood up from my position I ran down stairs as fast as I could, jumping onto Natsu trapping him in a big bear hug.

"Awwwe" I heard my mom, Layla cue. I felt my face heat up and realized I was blushing. "Thanks mom, for letting him come."

"Yeah" She said with a quick response.

Nastu and I soon walked back to my room. Sounds al little wierd when I think about it, but whatever.

One thought just only one thought kept replaying through my head. What if he had chosen Lissana over me. What would have happened then.

I pulled a chair over to my desk signaling for Natsu to sit thier. I looked over at him to see him completely brain dead. "Natsu sit." I begged him.

He finally sat down and I handed him my flashcards. "Please help me study." I asked him while giving him my puppy dog eyes.

"Sure anything for Luce." He answered with a smile.

We went over r the cards one by one taking our time till I fianlly understood them. That took a good two hours. I leaned myself onto Natsu's shoulder softly closing my eyes.

I don't know why but I always seem to let my guard down when. I'm around him and need up falling asleep. It's was the same thing when we first met.

I remember when I kept on telling myself that I hated him even though I was just lying to myself. I was leaning against the tree reading a book. That book is now my favorite.

Not because it was a good book it was because Natsu was thier with me when I finished it. Even back then I had let my guard down.

But for me I don't regret any of it. I still loved the fact that Natsu was so openly with everything towards me.

I lifted my head off his shoulder opening my eyes from my daydream and noticed him leaning on the table. He didn't seem to happy either.

"What's wrong?" I asked with a litter curiosity. I was worried also. He looked at me with his onxy eyes bright in up. "Your awake!" He exclaimed as a smile crept onto his face.

"What are you talkin about?" I said playfully. "I've been up." I lied a little. Well I technically was in a daydream so u don't think you can consider that sleeping.

My face turned more serious as when that thought popped back into my mind. "Uhh..... Natsu, can I ask you something?"I aked him with my expressing turning more serious.

"Yeah..sure."He said a little weary.

"Well why did you pick me over Lissana? I mean well she was your first Love and everything and I was only being used at the time." I asked him cautiously.

"WHAT?" Natsu yelled as he realized what I had just said. His face turning more serious as each second passed by.

"Why? Why would you even ask that Lucy? I love you it doesn't matter what was in the past. Your in the future Lucy on my future, don't you understand that. Lissana is no longer apart of our love. So don't ever even think that." He sad as tears slowly dripped down his face.

He shook me over and over again trying to get it through my head. he pulled my closer tighten his grip. I noticed wet tears dripping down my cheeks. My face was all red and heating up.

I tried to remove my self from his grasp, placing my hands on his chest, but he kept tight in his grip. "Don't ever leave me Lucy." He cried out.

"Nastu I-I'm sorry. I didn't think it would turn out like this." I tried my best to explain.

I placed my hands on his face slowly stroking his cheeks. I leaned in closing the gap between us. It felt so warm and passinate. I kissed him deeply as so did he. "Thank you for saying that." I said whispering into his ear.

I completely forgot about the whole studying and everything I had memorized. Well I guess I'll just have to restudy everything with the help of Nastu.

Now that the wieght has been lifted off my chest I felt better as if my mind was finally at ease.
