Its been 2 weeks and I have never felt so low. Jade or Kai have started picking me up after my classes, walking me back to the dorm. I was terrified of being left alone. It seemed like Nicholas knew all my personal information and I didn't know when he would show himself again. It wasn't a fact of if he would show himself again, but rather when he would. Stuff like this destroys you. I have lost all my independence, I always needed someone to be around with me, I have even started sleeping with my lights on. I felt trapled within myself.

Jade and Kai were worried about me but I ensured them I would be ok soon. I just needed time. Though it still felt like there was a huge void in the story. Why would he choose me of all people. We met one time at a party, and all of a sudden I was his whole life.

As much as I tried to convince myself I didn't want to see him again, I knew I wanted more answers.

I hoped those answers would come soon.

-

"Kai!" I shouted for him as I was putting on my coat. The weather outside was getting cold enough where you would need to start wearing a jacket and hat now. The air was cold enough to form fog with any breath and the trees were loosing their leaves.

"I'm coming!" Kai shouted back at me. He soon appeared from the doorway wearing a hoodie and a pair of jeans.

I learned Kai was honestly a lot of fun to hang out with. While Jade was about partying, Kai was more about relaxing and going shopping. I have started to enjoy doing that a lot more, it brought me a lot of comfort hanging out with him.

We made it to the market place and walked around the street. The sky was a bit cloudy outside, and there was a slight breeze in the air followed by the scent of cinnamon. We finally made our way into a clothing store and started looking around.

The store was really cute, it was a lot smaller and vintage looking then stores I've seen back by my parents house. It had light blue walls and wood flooring. I ended up wandering off looking at a rack of beanies on display. I probably needed some from the weather anyways.

As I was looking at a brown beanie
a man came up besides me. I tried to ignore him still looking at the display but his presence didn't go away, so I looked up.

"Excuse me-" I started before going silent.

"Nicholas..." I said slowly before he looked over at me and smiled awkwardly. He scratched the back of his neck and waved.

Without thinking I pulled him through the nearest door available, which turned out to be a changing room. I shut the door locking it and turned my attention to the man in-front of me

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I said letting go of him.

"Look I can explain, don't get mad" he said stumbling over his words a few time. He paused taking a breath to gather himself but stayed silent.

"Explain" I said seriously, crossing my arms and leaning up against the wall.

"I never meant to make you feel uncomfortable, that was never my plan from the start, I wanted to keep you safe, because you remind me of someone" he paused looking down at the ground.

There was silence.

I laughed a bit breaking the silence between us. "That's so stupid" I said uncrossing my arms. "I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable let me just follow you home every night after school and not say a word" I mocked him.

He didn't say a word.

"Let me just find out what school this random guy goes too, because I saved him from a fire caused by drunk 17 year olds two years ago" I continued to mock the man. "I know you don't even go to the fucking college" I said looking into his eyes. His eyes showed so many emotions, he looked afraid, confused, shocked, and so many more I couldn't describe. His hands and legs started shaking and he had the lean himself up against the wall for balance.

There was still nothing said from him. Light music was heard from through the door.

"Fucking say something!" I shouted. I didn't even care if everyone knew the store could hear me at this point.

"I don't want explain here" he whispered looking up at me.

"Fine whatever" I said taking out an old receipt from my jacket pocket and a pen.

I wrote down an address and handed the man the paper. "Meet me here tonight at 9" I said.

Before hearing a reply from him I opened up the door and left the changing room, leaving him by himself.

Kai came running up to me holding a paper bag. "I just purchased like 3 shirts I need to show you when we get home; you need to rate them" he said smiling.

"Did you find anything you like?" he asked.

I looked back at the changing room quickly before turning back to Kai. "Nope. Lets go get food im hungry" I said grabbing onto Kai's arm luring him out of the store.
