Chapter 1- Welcome To The Falls

Ah reverse falls... Southeast oregon, a secluded area surrounded by the wide forests and thick trees. A perfect place for a summer vacation am i right?

It looks like one of our main characters here, Pacifica North-west, thought the same thing after getting off the bus to meet her cousin Gideon Pines.

Gideon: Pacifica! You don't know how much i missed you!

The kid ran up to his cousin excitedly.

Pacifica: Same to you, Gid. So how's life been?

Gideon: I mean it's cool. After we moved out from California we've been living a frankly. Peaceful life here.

He helped her cousin with some of her luggage as they make their way to the mystery shack. They decided to catch up on stuff on their way.

Pacifica: I heard uncle bud turned your house into some kind of tourist trap?

Gideon: Yeah, it kinda does help us financially. Those tourists would really buy anything y'know.

Pacifica: I mean you can't blame them, i would loved a souvenir from such a nice place!

Gideon: Nice place you say... Oh look were here!

They didn't even realize that they were already near the shack.

Pacifica scanned the outside, it didn't looked so bad in her eyes, i mean maybe if the fallen S was fixed the place would look good as new.

They went inside, Pacifica saw Grunkle bud counting money and greeted him. He didn't seem to notice her so gideon just led her upstairs to her room. After setting everything up and a nice shower she went to sleep on her first night in reverse falls.

The next day, gideon insisted on showing her around the town. The only thing they needed to do was to ask bud if they could go.

Bud: No.

Gideon: But dad!

Bud: I have places to be today and robbie and deuce are out

Gideon: But i want to show her around!

Bud: You can do that another time, for now go work on the register.

Gideon: How about pacifica? she'll be so bored...

Gideon continued to protest. Bud sighed and looked at pacfica and handed her nails and signs.

Bud: Here's a game, pin the signs into the pine trees outside!

Here eyes seem to lit up at the prospect of exploring the woods.

Pacifica: Cool!

Bud: Oh it is, make sure to scatter them far so everyone will see em.

Gideon: Are you seriously tricking her into working for you?

Bud: Fine by me.

Gideon: What if she gets lost!

Bud: Oh cmon you can look for her, as for now i gotta go.

With the pep in her step and fresh bandages on her knees Pacifica went off and started to nail the signs and put up posters on the trees. She didn't realize she was gaining distance from the shack but she kept going anyways. As she hammered the nail into the current tree, she realized it was made made out of some kind of metal instead of wood.

She felt around it and noticed that it could be opened so she took a peek of whats inside the secret hatch. It contained a machine with switches on it. She messed around with em and accidentally opened a secret opening on the ground, it revealed some kind of book.
