I hate Monday
This was Mina first thought when she woke up. No exception for the other day. A day where she didn't have to wake up earlier in the morning was merely a fool's paradise. For she wished the earth be destroyed and long gone, thus a good rest awaits. If others were to hear such desire, perhaps would she be delivered faster to her rest.
Mina actually considered the idea of being beaten to death.
It's better to die painfully fast rather than suffer slowly right?
Mina made her living as a teacher in some elite school. You would expect to get high a salary since it has "Elite" written in the middle of the school name and an everyday scenery of snobby rich kids flaunting their expensive accessories. Guess what? Her salary is lower than those brat's pocket money. Although lower, her salary was above the average of normal teachers.
Wearing her teacher's uniform given by the school –she's thankful because she can't bear feeling inferior by just wearing a plain white shirt enveloped by a dark blue blazer and black pantsuit while other teachers wear some eye-fucking bright, full of colorful branded clothes– and more thankful because the uniform was free.
Free is her favorite word.
At least this uniform isn't too bright nor gloomy since she herself was already looking depressing. It was a beige button-down shirt covered with crimson blazer and trousers. Women are supposed to wear a skirt but Mina successfully convinced the principal about how a teacher should be in their comfort zone to be able to teach their student properly without attracting any kind of unwanted accident or attention (especially male teachers).
Mina was feeling okay today, just like her normal day so there's nothing to be excited about. The croaky voice of an old newscaster was playing on her mini radio as she waited for the red light to turn green inside her car. She steadied her icy finger on the steering wheel.
"-getting into Seoul, we will be expecting a heavy rain-"
Hearing that made Mina remember her chat with an odd stranger. She wondered what is in her drink to tell them to bring an umbrella.
They must think I'm interested in them
In fact, Mina is lonely. She doesn't have any friends. Pathetic isn't it? she craved another person's attention to the point of having a conversation with a creep. Everyone always said that after being alone for a while, you'll get used to it. However, it was merely a way for a pathetic loner such as herself to reassure her near endangered heart from others' false sympathy and never-ending sweet deception.
Mina is fine with that. She believes everyone start their life alone and dead alone too. Why bother making friends? let alone fall in love. The risk of being hurt is bigger and way more painful than brief happiness. Mina was hurt once and she never wanted to experienced it again. Unlike people who are able to overcome their past trauma, Mina just couldn't.
It is easier said than done.
She was yanked out of her thought, startled by the honking cars behind waiting for her car to move already.
No more useless thought Mina

By the time Mina finished her monotonous job, it was already 5 PM . Her body can only sense hunger and frazzle, sitting all day marking students' homework, making assignments, and exams rendered her feet rigid. If she could sleep in the teacher's office, she would. Except that whenever she's done with her job, she'd be given another task by fellow workers.
