  I closed the front door of our small forest house behind me and inhaled the smell of alcohol, suffocating air, and the vanilla.

"Hello," I said quietly as I entered the living room and saw my parents sitting on the couch, drinking something copper and watching the television with colorless eyes. 

"Hello," Mom said, and Dad smiled at me. 

 I liked them. I really did, but I was so upset that they were destroyed almost every day by that stupid alcohol.

They didn't hurt me or curse me. I mean mostly. It depended on their mood and how much they had to pay for electricity and gas.

I hurried up the stairs to my room and closed myself there. I changed into my home clothes, plugged my cell phone into the boxes, and played rap music out loud. In some miraculous way, the aggressive lyrics of the songs were able to calm me down.

I secretly returned to the kitchen, stole a few pieces of candy left over from Christmas, and returned to my room.

The music stopped and the sound of the message came.
