A ghost inside of me

Chapter 4

We waited a looong time because John and Charlie didn't show up. It's been 20 minutes and they are still not here.
"Well, hello there! Where have you two been?" I asked.
"Sorry we went for a drive and totally forgot the time. We are so sorry!" Charlie and John apologised.
"Yeah. I bet you did." Carlton threw a flashlight at them and we entered the mall once again.
"Keep your lights off. No need to draw extra atten-" I stopped talking immediately when I saw a tall figure leaning against a wall.
"I had a feeling you wouldn't leave it alone. I could have you arrested for trespassing. What are you Kids doing back here? Partying? Drugs?" A tall man with a British accent caught us. He wore a white shirt with a black tie and normal black jeans. His silver eyes swift over to me. He must be the nightguard. What are we going to do now? I don't want to get arrested for just looking around an empty mall.
I may have an idea...
"Why don't you come with us? We just want to explore a little more. Then we'll leave. You know your way around better than any of us." I tried talking this sense into him. He looked at me, thinking. It was creepy but somehow pretty attractive at the same time. What am I thinking? Nonsense. He's just a nightguard haha...
My face turned red because I thought of it the whole time. Out of nowhere Carlton came and stepped in front of me
"And then we'll never come back!" He added.
"Sure." The British guy said after thinking about it quite long. I was so nervous that he would kick us out or arrest us. I could've never forgive myself...
"I am not an idiot. I know what's back there. Anyway the names Dave." He showed us his name tag. "This way" we looked at each other relieved and followed him.
"Carlton, have you ever seen this guy?" John asked him
"This town is not THAT small. I don't know everybody." He replied. I was listening to the groups conversation while Carlton and Lamar put the shelf away once again. I felt so bad because of my stupid idea going in there a 3rd time. We went along the long hallway like we did everyday.
"What exactly happened to the restaurant and why is the mall abandoned, anyway?" I asked Dave, to start a conversation.
"You don't know? Nobody wanted to lease Freddy's, because of what happened. Then they decided to build a Mall, to attract Business, you know. Someone had the bright idea to seal Freddy's up. Build the Mall around it. But it wasn't enough. Something about this place spilled over into the rest of the building. Barely anyone wanted to bring their business here. Those few franchise owners who wrote about to open their shops quit their contracts and left. Said it just didn't feel right." He explained. And woah it was a lot. I can understand why tho. This place is creepy as hell and there was still some of that disgusting smell that came from the animatronics. That's the reason they closed up in the first place.
"I think its got an aura, a mystical energy, maybe, if you believe in that sort of thing." He continued and wiggled his fingers in a spooky way.
"I totally agree with you. I never thought meeting someone who Is interested in the same thing. I am kind of scared of this place tho. Same with the weird smell..." I said thinking about the things we had in common.

"All I know is they abandoned the construction before it was even finished. Now nobody comes here... except Kids wanting to screw around, and me." He quickly turned around to Charlie, who got scared.
"John... that guy gives me the creeps." She whispered to him.
He replied: "he's just a guard, Charlie."

We found a little security room under the stage with cameras and a kit of buttons. It seems like they are made to move the animatronics. But we tried everything and they are just moving from side to side.
"Uhm... could I try?" Dave asked
"Why not" I smiled and backed up. He pushed a bunch of buttons and moved a switch and suddenly they began to Dance. We all let out a loud "woah"
"They are really dancing like back then! I didn't think they would be able to do it again!" I said and put a hand on The nightguards shoulder.
Charlie ran outside and watched the animatronics. Now the rest went out and we just stood there watching them.
"It's strange seeing them like this again..." I mumbled to Dave. All of a sudden Bonnie looked over to him and had some kind of "seizure" I backed up because it scared me. Why are they doing this all of a sudden? What's going on?
"Nervous little fella aren't you?" He looked at me with a psychotic grin. Something is not right... and what do you mean nervous? This is terrifying!
"Lamar! Something is wrong! Turn it off!" Jessica screamed. I looked over to her and all of a sudden I heard a crack. Bonnie was almost falling through the stage. They are trying to get away.
"Where's Dave? He started this!" Lamar came out of the little booth.
"... he's gone..." I said while looking to my right. He disappeared while I was focusing on Jessica. I hope he's alright.
Charlie came and already had a plan: " We should go back to the other control room. Marla, you go and look for your brother. We'll try to find Dave." I just remembered we split up. I just hope nothing will happen to Jason. I decided to run to the arcades. Nobody's there...
"Hey what are you doing back here?" Carlton tried to scare me.
" CARLTON! where is Jason? And did u saw Dave? Everything's out of control right now! Bonnie and all the others were acting out of control!" I began to panic.
"What do you mean? Bonnie's on the stage with the others?-" out of nowhere Carlton got grabbed. I reached out for him and jumped against a yellow rabbit. He fell to the ground and let go of Carlton. I couldn't believe what I was just seeing. I got so distracted that I didn't even realised he got up again. And then it happened. He knocked me unconscious. All I could see was my childhoodfriend and me getting dragged along a white and black floor. I passed out completely after that...
