JUNE SPENT MORE than an hour sitting outside in the waiting room, watching how nurses and doctors went into her grandmother's room and then went out. She tried to read their faces, but most of them had zero expressions on them, making it impossible for her to know if anything was happening.
She didn't call Stiles, mostly because she wanted him to enjoy the night and have a semi-normal formal, which wasn't that much since his best friends were a werewolf and a witch. But she really could use one of his big hugs or just assurance that her grandmother was going to be fine, but she didn't know that now, she didn't know anything.
Suddenly she felt an arm in her shoulder, she looked up to see Melissa in her uniform, looking with pity at the teen girl.
"How are you, sweetheart?", she asked softly.
"I'm fine, it's just stressful to not know how she's doing", June mumbled.
"Well, lucky for you, I can figure that out", Melissa whispered, walking into the room.
June watched in silence the lights of the hospital flickering, and suddenly she was no longer in the hospital but in the field of the high school. She looked around confused when she spotted a redhead girl, looking around.
"Lydia?", June asked, confused about what she was doing there.
Lydia turned to her but didn't say anything and passed right next to her, June was invisible, Lydia couldn't see her.
"Jackson? Is that you?", she asked, looking at the silhouette of a person walking to her.
Suddenly she heard another familiar voice, "Lydia! Run!", Stiles screamed, as he run to her.
June looked confused at the scene until the silhouette of the person was more clear and Peter's face showed up, Lydia turned around at him and without a warning, he stab his teeth in her, taking a chunk of her skin. Lydia fell to the ground unconscious and June watched how Stiles looked horrified at the scene.
