CHAPTER THIRTY SIX

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

The teenage girl sighed as she grabbed her backpack, which was filled with her work clothes since she had to get to her job. She walked out of the dojo with Tory and Kyler, giving the blonde a wave and holding up her middle finger at Kyler. Jordyn was exhausted and just wanted to go home to rest, but she needed to work extra hard to have money.

Jordyn froze when she saw her mother was standing right outside of the dojo, leaning against her boyfriends car. She didn't fail to notice Trevor sitting in the drivers seat, his long bread braided.

"You're a tough girl to find." Tiffany spoke up, pushing herself off the car and approaching her daughter. "Avoiding your own mother, sweetheart. Ignoring my calls?"

"I've been busy." Jordyn told her mother truthfully, moving to walk past her, but was blocked. "What do you want, mom?"

"I never said I wanted anything." Tiffany defended herself, before letting out a sigh when she saw the look her daughter was giving her. "Alright, I need money."

"No." Jordyn didn't hesitate to say.

"I need money." Tiffany repeated herself more clearly.

"And I said no." Jordyn replied slowly, as if she was talking to a child. Her mother parted her lips to say something, but was cut off by Jordyn. "I earned this money myself. I work extra hard for it. This money is for bills, food and taking care of all of us."

Tiffany gave her a pleading look. "I only need 200 dollars."

"What do you even need the money for?" Jordyn questioned.

"Trevor and I want to take a trip."

Rolling her eyes, Jordyn moved to walk past her but Tiffany grabbed her arm, forcing her to look at her. She held a tight grip on Jordyn's arm, but the teenage girl didn't dare to wince.

"Give me the money." Tiffany demanded.

Jordyn shook her head, ripping her arm away out of her grasp. "No."

"Do what your mother says."

Jordyn whipped around to see Trevor was standing behind her, his arms crossed against his chest, his muscles popping.

"Stay out of this, hobo." She snapped, turning her attention back to her mother. "If you want money, go get a damn job."

Instead of answering, Tiffany glanced over her daughter's shoulder to look at her boyfriend. Suddenly, Jordyn's backpack was ripped out of her arms and she twirled around to grab it back, but he was already running back to the car, along with Tiffany.

Both adults jumped in the car, laughing as they didn't hesitate to start it up. Jordyn noticed a glass bottle on the ground and bent down to grab it.

She chucked the bottle at the car as it zoomed away from her, the glass shattering. "Assholes!"

Jordyn stood in front of the LaRussos' house, staring up at it. She was given the opportunity to return to school because of her situation at home, but there was only one problem. The principal wanted the LaRussos' to sign something to make sure they were comfortable with her returning back. Jordyn just knew they wouldn't, especially Sam.
