Prologue

The year 2021

The Gipsy Danger is out at sea, searching for a kaiju named Knifehead. While on the hunt, they spot a fishing boat and decide to relocate it to a safer area. Suddenly, Knifehead attacks them, but the Jaeger is ready. The pilots adjust the torque and dodge the kaiju's swipe, moving the boat out of harm's way. Gipsy punches Knifehead in the face, then hammers its fists on top of the kaiju's head. The battle is fierce, but Gipsy ultimately defeats Knifehead with a Plasmacaster shot.

As the pilots celebrate saving the fishing boat, Knifehead reveals that it is not dead. It rises again and relentlessly attacks the Jaeger, severing its left arm and clawing into its head. Pilot 1 is suddenly pulled out of the Conn-Pod with half of Gipsy's head, leaving Pilot 2 to fight solo. Knifehead continues its brutal assault, but Pilot 2 charges the Plasmacaster on Gipsy's other hand and delivers the killing blow.

Pilot 2 manages to pilot Gipsy solo until they reach the shore. However, the badly-damaged Jaeger collapses, and Pilot 1 is pulled out of Gipsy by a mysterious portal that opens up and then closes immediately after pulling the Jaeger in.

On the other side of the portal, Gipsy falls through the air and lands near an unknown base.

???: Prime, there's an unknown object in the sky that will crash on the beach, The size of the thing is impossible.

??? looks over at ???

???: What's the size, old friend?

??? looks back at the screen and turns back to ??? with his mouth wide open

???: The object is about the size of a Cybertronian refugee ship.

??? processes the info he gains a look of confusion

???: How is that possible? Weren't they all destroyed?

??? shrugs

???: I thought that too, well let's hope it is a refugee ship with Autobots from Cybertron.???: Yes, and let's hope there are not dead or Decepticons on board, too.
