Zhongli gazed up at the sky, brilliant pinks, oranges, and yellows splattering every corner of it. His very core was filled with tedium of a tiring day, and he couldn't wait to taste some good food. You're not you when you're hungry. That held painfully true for himself, despite not having the mora to supplement the cost of the meals. So far, he was living off of his friends' funds, with Tartaglia being the largest contributor to his dietary needs.
"Surprise~!" Cool hands gently covered Zhongli's eyes. "Guess who!" Zhongli quietly chuckled at this, their voice was already a dead giveaway. Smiling, Zhongli answered. "Well if it isn't our local bard!"
Venti grinned, removing his hands from Zhongli's face and twirled before performing a slight bow. "The best bard!" Zhongli chuckled as Venti continued his declaration of greatness. "Three-time winner of the "Most Popular Bard of Mondstadt!"
Laughing, Venti grabbed Zhongli's hand. "Where to, old block-head?" Ignoring the smug remark, Zhongli gave an honest answer. "A restaurant." Venti swung their interlocked hands up and down dramatically. "As if you can buy that.~" Zhongli frowned. "Perhaps Tartaglia or the Director can help our limited funds."
Venti hummed. "You better hope they will! Or I can play a little tune~"
The two interchanged conversation as they strolled through the Guili Plains, slowly making their way to Liyue Harbor, and Tartaglia happened to be around, and happened to have his wallet with him, and happened to be able to pay for a meal at the Third-Round Knockout, with an extra treat of osmanthus wine.
