Welcome to my (one of my) novella entries for ONC 2022! I shouldn't be writing this many stories at once, but here we are, and I've been sitting on the idea of participating in ONC this year for the first time for quite some time. Death Meet Cute as well as my other entry, Out of Order will be two entries I've decided to use for ONC. Feel free to check both of them out, as well as other amazing entries people will be submitting for ONC this year!
Open Novella Contest 2022:
The goal is to write a 20k-40k novella in 3 months using one or more of the provided prompts from OpenNovellaContest's list of prompts.
Prompt 74: "After a bad breakup, you decide to fulfill your bucket list that you had planned with your ex-partner alone. In halfway through fulfilling your bucket list, you meet a person who is going through the exact same situation and you decide to help this person." [Tweaked for this novella]
Prompt 99: "It's always what/who you least expected that blows your mind away."
Death Meet Cute [A WIP summary; will be updated]:
A story about two grieving men struggling to come to terms with the loss of their significant others, who learn to make amends with their own regrets in life by living life to the fullest in honor of their partner's memories. Together they learn the value of honesty, initiative, and empathy.
